Whispered reported

Unlessssss you actually use the Shut Up addon in a realistic response kind of way. At least to some extent. Orrrrr you can just use nothing and when you have someone start following you from a distance trying to talk to you and you just keep farming...

I have my whispers setup as follows. (keep in mind Shut Up will stop your char and pretend to start typing)

Need much more variables to make a good response, and also most people who whisper reported dosn?t report, also you don?t have to have a chat window open. and if i play, i don?t stop to type, i use autorun and types when i can run straight, or typ with my left hand and stear with my right.

 

Get the right plugins and you shouldn't look like an obvious bot. Squire runs great for healers in PvP, SimpleFollow is awesome for DPS, get a damn good CC for your class or don't bother botting in public (BGs/Instances), and if you are farming do it at times where people are less likely to give a damn. I let honorbuddy farm nodes all night while I sleep and nobody is on, and during the day I only semi-afk since I usually have a lot of friends on.

If you run the bot for long periods of time you might want to consider a monitoring plugin or addon to help you seem human or have better response times. Change it up and dont keep doing the same thing with the same character over and over and over like clockwork and you'll seem more human. If you notice players are in the area frequently maybe you need to wait till they leave. I don't quite like the automated responses since I'm more of the "either I'm going to be talking or I wont say a damn thing and pretend I totally missed the message". If they continue to persist, /ignore them. I'm either a bot or an extremely antisocial human! Like plenty of people have already said, most people who say they reported you, probably didnt or wont since they just want to scare you out of the area so they can farm it or whatnot. I only see people mass reporting obvious bots (like that one that just /follows anyone in a BG, even as a ghost, and wont fight), and even I report those since the person is clearly doing it wrong.

Either bot correctly, or bot in ways that you don't feel like you're about to get banned for it, or don't bother trying.

 

Someone just whispered me a couple of times with some retarded stuff. I then came back 15 min later and saw his last question are you a bot? I answered "No, i am just ignoring you, asshole" he then said "fk you" and moved along.

Btw just for the fact people dont care if you are botting, all they care about is how they can get their next purple item. Just dont do something that would piss people off (like node - NINJAing) and i think ull be fine.

 

While I too am on the agreeable band wagon that waiting 30 min wasn't the brightest thing a light bulb ever did. I also agree with those that think talk back programs/addons are a joke, unless there is one where it can generate more than one simple come back to a whisper. IE: "I'm full-time roleplayer, you can't whisper me unless you are at my friend-list." All someone has to do, is place a few more whispers to you in succession and get that same response every time to know you're a botter. No one responds exactly the same way to a whisper. No one! So in this sense, I don't' think any addon would be worth it. Besides! I've yet to find one totally Afkable questing profile yet! So that means, you best be close if you're questing with the bot. If you aren't staying close and watching, then hay! it's on you if you get banned.

And yes, a great many people do care if you're botting. The very idea that they don't care, boggles the mind! Of course they care, especially when they see one toon in the same area for days on end, grinding the same spot and making it hard for them to get whatever it is they need. An example, is grinding the area by the Anvil for fire elementals in Stormpeaks . Most everyone knew that was a good place to get fire in LK. You bet you're very existance that you'll be turned in, if someone sees that! And no, not everyone bots either, but they sure can spot a bot. Have quite a few RL friends that play wow in my area, that have never botted in 4 years, but are real quick at spotting one.

 

i really hate it. they dont realize that we have paid for the game too like them, and its worth a lot of money. i also have several months of playtime on my acc...

If you bot/***** your at risk of getting banned and you know it, it's not for the people who are afraid to lose their acc, all or nothing.

Essentially you are gambling the account you bot on, and the same rule applies to all gambling: Never bet what you can't afford to lose.

I usually run the bot when I'm around and should someone whisper me when I'm not, well tough luck I don't have chat frame up because if I want to talk to people I go outside.

 

It's like saying paying for the internet gives you the right to pirate software. Just cus you can doesn't mean it isn't *****ing.

 

Name your bot Ā???? or something and you will never really get repported. people would simply not be able to write your name in the report and give up.

 

you can simply just open your chat window, shift click the name, and then copy paste it into the ticket.

 

Just works with addons and you need to whisper him first, or find a chatline of him

To be honest we are breaking the rules, and it does kind of fuck legit players over. So you cant blame them. But i still hate them.
