Arch buddy or Questing?

Which do you believe is faster? Vote in the poll.

 

Archaeology. I'm going that way to 85 in 4 levels

 

questing, at least in northrend...too far between nodes to make the xp worthwhile.

 

were you doing arch in northrend? I think eastern kingdom works best. Once you start getting node spawns back to back in stv you can shoot up to a million xp/hour.

On average Questing is slightly better if everything goes smoothly, but arch is more reliable and you easily get more xp/hour than 5 man's or bgs.

 

Arch buddy is a LOT faster after 60 with the flying mount.

 

not really true, especially while you only have the 150% flight. As long as you aren't losing time from the bot freaking out, questing should be faster.

 

i'd say questing if you can either get it to not break or babysit your comp. but archbuddy is switch it on a forget(but not atm due to session drops atm) so may be faster in the long run

 

Ya'll are smoking ***** if you think arch buddy is faster than questing. For instance, kicks profiles can net me over 1.5m xp/hr + in the 80's questing whereas i get about 300k from arch. There it is. Now, the question is.... afk or babysitting? Archaeology buddy is the king, for me at least, of afk leveling.... very safe, but very slow- i usually wait b4 bedtime and set it to bot all night after a few hours of QUESTING

 

questing seems to be fastest, plus you don't come out with lvl 60 (best case scenario) gear at 85....
sure you've made some gold solving artifacts...but you would have gotten gear AND gold questing.

 

Questing is faster, Arch (at lvl 60+) is safer IMO. Questing gives increased xp but must be babysat often for fear of stuck issues and incomplete turnins, etc. Arch gives less xp (more if you have increased flight speed later on), can be left afk for hours on end and keeps your toon moving all over the map. I like to quest until lvl 60 then switch to arch from 60 to 85. Less xp this way but also fewer people looking to join group to complete a dificult quest or ask you questions like "how do I complete this quest.". To each their own I guess.

 

Equally fast for me, and require the same amount of attention. I cannot get Archbuddy to solve anything so I have to stop it as often as all the quest profiles I have tried.

 

Questis a lot faster...but it is definitely not afk'able. Arch is slower, even with epic flying, but so much safer once you figure out which zones to blacklist.

Horde ... meh, BC questing w/ an updated profile, and then possibly LK, but i haven't made a questing thing for that yet, it's on my to-do list for horde LK, just not high on it

 

Yeah, I got the short end of the stick when I made a Horder character.

The 1-68 profile is taking too long, so once I hit 70, im arching.

 

Ally - Kicks Questing is defo the Fastest (I would also say pretty much 100% AFKable - 3 toons so far, and the profile is getting better and better)

Horde - Who knows cant get into it...

 

at lvl 65-69 i only get like 160K /hr with arch even when using mixed mode AV. Without mixed mode its even lower. Kalimdor or Eastern kingdom doesnt seem to make any difference, so if there were good questing profiles for that range it would be MUCH faster. Or am I doing something wrong? Don't have the time to babysit all day, I can babysit for 0,5 to 1 hour then I go to sleep at nights, or to work in the mornings. Thats obviously why I'm botting, if I had the time to babysit I could just be playing by hand.

 

In my honest opinion, I consider the best way to lvl up a bot is to RAF a classic+TBC account, boost a pair of toons through classic/TBC dungeons 'till level 70 and then ArchBuddy the full account. Questing is just not reliable, and for me "a way to lvl up a toon botting" means full AFK mode, not babysitting. If a method requires any amount of babysitting except training new spells and gearing up, then it's not a method at all for me. You bot (pressed "Start" and went away) or you sit there gazing at your toon. So, questing is not a way to lvl up for me atm.

 

Tbh the bot has much improved and so have the questing profiles, for the 1-60 part. Kick's profiles, Azenius and lowhangingfruit are all awesome since some weeks now and allmost fully AFK'able if you thorougly follow the instructions (so Megser, Shakazara, Kickazz, thanks alot for your efforts! Much appreciated). There's just no good profiles after that yet though. But it really isnt such a big problem, I can live with using arch buddy / pvp / gathering, its just so damn slow that it makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong...

Oh and btw, I don't seem to know what RAF does... someone care to explain what it is?

- Forgot to mention, alliance side might be great till 85, but I mainly play horde, so I'm not sure.... 1-60 worked just fine on Kick's profiles lately.
