Well basicly any up to date laptop can run WoW. I have a 3 year old HP that I bought from a mall that can run WoW just fine. Just make sure the graphics card and ram is to the req specs and you are golden.

Good and cheap do not go together well or at all. You get what you pay for and being cheap is not something i recommend

Seriously why bother posting crap?? well maybe i will go out and spend ?1500 on a pc because me building a pc that is 10x better for the fraction of the price in your eye's is "Cheap"!!.

Maybe you should think before you post.

or check out your local pawnshops, if its been sitting there for a while, they might be willing to sell for their Bottom (the price they paid for it) and haggling is always good.

This is true, good reply my first computer was a cheap one only 100$ i paid for it, after the stuff i put up with that trying to game i built a custom one for 1200$ hurt the pocket a bit but i do not regret it
My appologies for angering you, i sometimes forget there are alot of angry people on the internet. since money seems to be a problem for you hit up newegg.com you can build a pretty solid pc for 400 or 500 dollars

Im a good person for haggling ;) but i prefer a new laptop since i had problems in the past with pre-owned goods. ( i bought a ps3 and 3 times i had to get it replaced beacuse everyone kept cutting out after 10 mins of playing)

I see were your comming from, my son (10 month old) get's all excited when he see's all the flashing colour's on my tower and proceed's to turning it on and off and hitting it with his toy's, my fault really for building a pc similar to Alienware with all fancy light's lol anyway's thank's for your kind help and i live in Liverpool which is in the UK.

you still continue to troll my thread, now your virtually making out im a angry person, calling me "cheap" is a very offensive word to call someone were i live before you dont know the fact's why im only buying for a low price, the reason for that is i dont have money to throw everywere like you when i have just been made redundant and have a small family to support, also you should re-read my start up thread post since you have just posted the compete oppisite to what i needed help for,

      1. I dont want to build a pc i want to buy a Laptop since i dont hold the skill's to build a laptop.
      2. newegg.com is US based and i want to buy from the UK.
      3. my price range is ?0 - ?300 not 400 or 500 dollars.

Now back on subject, i have searched the web and found some good deal's but i need comparising in which is better and worth buying from these following link's :)

      1. ACER Aspire 5552 15.6" Laptop - Black | Dixons | - ?249.99
      1. ACER 5552 15.6 AMD ATHLON DUAL CORE HUGE 8GB RAM LAPTOP | eBay ?329.95 (Upgraded Version)

      2. ACER Aspire 5336 15.6" Laptop - Black | Dixons | - ?279.99

      3. Acer Aspire 5336 Laptop Dual Core 4GB RAM 500GB HDD | eBay - ?279.99

There some searches for now, im going for a Acer make since my bro and friend's have never had problem's with Acer make, i dont know about other Laptop Make,

Any help will be appreciated, thank's.

^^ overheating issue, take it apart and blow it out - if the issue persists - reflow the gpu

as far as laptops ... I get broken ones on ebay for cheap, repair them, and then sell them for $500 or more profit

Got my lappy from Dell Outlet, you'd never know it wasn't new and it's pretty good for the price. A "new" of what I have would have cost about ?250 more. Sometimes they're just cancelled orders that have been made up, guess this is what I got. Very pleased anyway.

Around 2 years ago I was also looking for a new "Gaming"-Laptop.
First I bought a ASUS HD Notebook, where the components actually were looking pretty well for gaming purposes. At the end it was just garbage, because the GPU and also CPU had not even enough power to play WoW in max resolution.

So after half a year later and fucked up by this "Gaming"-Laptop I started to make a new research. At the end I build my own Laptop for almost 2000 ?. It runs and runs and runs. Is freaking loud, but the performance is even now, after 1 year, more than enough to play all recent games with FULL HD + all Details to the maximum. (I'm playing WoW with 2 clients open with max ultra details on 1920x1080)

Honestly: Don't start with buying a Laptop for Gaming reasons for less than 700 ?. I promise you, you will be really disappointed.
I think with the ASUS Gaming Laptops you are good to go.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Notebooks- ASUS G73SW

Those laptops has been tested very well in Germany. They are very silent for a Gaming Notebook and you will have a lot more fun with them, than with every <700 ? model.
      Here you have some prices:
      Newegg.com - G73

If I would have to buy a new Gaming Laptop, I would go for the ASUS G-Series!

This guy is giving you a good advice. No need to go apeshit. A laptop for 300? will likely be a huge piece of crap. I suggest you to buy a desktop (even an assembled one) which can give you want you want for a fair price. You could buy a used laptop, but it's a bet.

I believe is point is he could care less who thinks how much you need to spend to get a "gaming laptop" he just wants a laptop that will support wow. if you ask around stores they will say o you need the best video card blah blah blah. its bs. i play with all settings on low to make sure theres no lag and because my warrior doesnt look real it isnt any less fun. this is how you should rank what your looking for

      1)processor
      2)ram
      3)video card
