ShamWOW for HB2 - An Enhance/Elemental/Resto + PVP/RaF Healbot by Bobby53

surfer999, Unless a change was made in WOW today, you can Bind Elemental the Mage's summoned pet. In fact, its the only use for Bind Elemental in PVP that I am aware of. I appreciate the additional log info, but as I mentioned in my prior reply after exhaustively scanning your supplied log I can see that the Bind Elemental cast is failing. The log indicates it has sufficient mana, is in range, in line of sight, and successfully completed the cast. However it is failing. I cannot see your screen and the info alone is not enough to discern why this particular cast is failing. Since I have two copies of log info from you on this issue no more is needed. If you could just describe where the Water Elemental is relative to your Shaman and the potential reason for the cast failing it would be extremely helpful. Otherwise I'll wait for another user to report and see what can be determined from their submission. Thanks for the follow up, Bobby53

 

Just checked at EotS. Shaman multiple casts Bind on friendly Water Elemental and get red messages 'Invalid Target'. Maybe Bind works successfull only on the foe?

 

Since the release of the new HB for the US Patch, ShamWoW will run to the groups using SilpeFollow plug in, but it stays mounted and doesnt even target the injured. I have to physically get into combat myself before the bot will take over. The log shows no errors

I think this bot is amazing, and may even play my shammy better then I do. Hope its a simple fix.

Incase there'ss a chance its a plug in, only ones I've added are SimpleFollow, FlagReturn, and TrinketRacial. (been running with SimpleFollow. Other 2 are both new)

Hello, First of all i have to say this CC is superb for PVP healing and grinding and is much appreciated , but i believe i've found a very serious bug that's just driving me crazy

i notice the logs say the issue is with the fishing bot, however before u jump to that conclusion i should say when i use the default CC that comes with HB, it works flawlessly and if i use any other char, or char CC again flawless, only when i use shamwow, (which is frustrating as my shamans my main) i get this issue i've edited every option i can think of in shamwow but...no no avail

i'll also be posting this withing the topic of AutoAngler2 and yes both have been updated properly via the latest SVN

 

surfer999, Thank you for the follow up. Yes, being a friendly water elemental is absolutely the issue. Didn't see it mentioned it was targeting friendlies earlier. Fix available shortly. Thanks, Bobby53

Tessius, Thanks for the post. The issue does needs to initially be looked into in AutoAngler since that is the source of the exception in the log file attached. The problem you are seeing is causing a loop so while I cannot see your screen, I'm assuming the character is standing still doing nothing. Let me know the results of your AutoAngler post. Quick bug and diagnostic version.

1. Bind Elemental now correctly attempted during BG's only on hostile water elementals.

2. For anyone experiencing issues fighting arena teams of the same faction (Ally vs Ally OR Horde vs Horde) I need your help obtaining some additional info. If you enter arena and determine that you are facing a team from the same faction, please click the Class Config button to bring up ShamWOW options, click the General tab, then in the lower right corner of the window click the Log Mobs button. If you are doing Arena you may want to familiarize yourself with its location before beginning. After the match is over please attach the complete log to a post in the ShamWOW thread so I can review what properties need to be used in that situation.

I'll do some more work on trying to see what's going on in arena's with same faction. At the moment i've been running the shammy as resto so work around the issue.


One question I had was in regard to kiting / movement when under melee attack in both arenas and general pvp. Is it possible to get shamwow to attempt to move away from melee when under attack and do a bit of kiting - I can imagine its not a simple thing to do but was wondering about the possibilities

 

sp3sh, Thank for the detailed post and complete log file. I am not able to reproduce the results you are obtaining. From the log file attached, it appears that when asking HonorBuddy what imbue is on the main hand weapon it responds with none, so ShamWOW reacts to the data it is given and casts Windfury Weapon. It then checks with HB again to be sure that Windfury was applied and again is told no imbue is present, so it casts again. The cycle continues to repeat which is what you are seeing. So a couple suggestions:

1. Please shutdown and restart your system. For whatever reason, unusual behaviors regarding persistent buffs ( or the inability to detect them ) can occur which does get cleaned up by restarting.

2. Exit HonorBuddy, clear the weapon imbues manually by right clicking, then re-launch HonorBuddy. Hopefully this will clear up the aura containers and interaction with HonorBuddy.

HB8654A32, It doesn't matter what spec you are. Just if you notice you are fighting a same faction arena team follow the steps to hit the button. I should be able to resolve with a log submitted containing that data. As for kiting, yes. Already have something in the works but it will be a little while. I had just started it and have some time off coming up where I won't be on the forums much other than to answer questions or take a quick look at an issue. It also won't help anyone doing arena with CC movement disabled so LazyRaider, etc. Thanks, Bobby53

 

Thanx, I think the problem is actually with the new HB release. Its happening on all my CC's with both the default and wOOts BG profiles in both BGBot[Beta] and PvP modes. I didnt include the log cause it didnt show any errors, just wouldnt enter combat unless attacked like 3-4 times 1st.

Sorry to post this issue to you before looking into it further. Only error in the log didnt pop up untill after entered in combat, which doesnt happen often even tho its a BG. Not sure if this is from the CC or SimpleFollow tho.
