      3 accounts... same message.

      Honor Buddy.
Started 3 new toons on a new server.
Botted 15-20hrs per day for the last 4 days. They all just got to about level 70.
Using Kick's Questing profiles on Alliance.
      Default CCs
Plugins: AutoEquip, Kick's Profile Plugins, and Rarekiller.
About 50% supervision. It ran pretty well.
No Gold selling, no hacking involved.

Should I call and get the ban removed? Or just ride it out for safety sake?

      Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized ***** Programs ("Hacks")

This suspension happened because one or more characters on this account were identified using an unauthorized ***** program, also known as a "hack.". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and superscede the intended limits of the game.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Blizzard Support

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please submit an in-game petition or fill the contact email form at http://us.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml?locale=en_US. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. What is important here appears to be that Blizz detected Honorbuddy. I thought that was not supposed to be possible. Maybe an Admin can respond to this?

If Bliz could and did start detecting HB, don't you think that the HB forum server would just about crash with all the ban reports that would come flooding in?

Alcibiades: the thing is, if Blizzard REALLY wanted to detect HonorBuddy there are plenty of ways they could, and they would just mass-ban everyone using it. Although there have been a few bans in the last 24 hours, we saw the same about a month ago... I don't think it's enough to consider HonorBuddy unsafe (or "detected").

IMHO, you should never try to get a 72 hour suspension removed. All your doing when you appeal your case is giving blizzard more reason to look into your accounts. They could easily review the accounts, see that you were actually botting and perma-ban you. You also know you were guilty of botting. Just take your punishment and move on.

I dont think they detected HB, sounds more like they 'detected' someone playing 15-20hrs a day and leveling very fast on multiple characters

If HB was actually 'detected' one of two things would happen
      1) you login to wow, then you open the bot and login... BAM insta kicked from game and banned. you wouldnt have gotten to level 2
      or
      2) you play you get detected and your name goes on the list of bad children, then one day santa comes along with his ban sack and you see all active HB users banned at once

While it may be true Blizz won't look until there is some reason to, like a complaint, it does appear once they do check on you they can tell you are running a 3rd party program. That's how I'm reading it anyway. The eula makes us agree to allow them to monitor our ram.

Yeah, someone probably reported me. I never thought HB was compromised. I just started 3 toons on a new server... played them at identical intervals (like all day every day [just not at night] for 4 days straight). Also, all i did was quest... so it would have seen me for hours at a time in BC zones without ever leaving to buy gear or put stuff on AH. It was all mailed to a bank alt (that i also created at the same time). It's the most I've ever botted continuously.

On the thing about appealing suspensions... I've heard of suspensions being appealed in as little as 2 minutes. Is there really THAT MUCH a customer service rep can do in that much time as far as "investigating".

Dunno how much they can investigate in those 2 minutes, but why risk it? 72 hours is nothing.

I think this has to do with it. Multiple bot's all on the same IP address for long periods. I give each bot it's own VM and use a Proxy host for each one. I've had several level 1 vanilla accounts banned for gold selling, but they have yet to track it back to my main.

I think what they "detect" is player behavior statistics, NOT HB itself but the results of using a bot - such as playing 15-20hrs a day, multiple days in a row, gathering/leveling at intense rate, leveling very fast on multiple characters, etc.
