Griding mobs for coin is a terrible way to make money and a great way to ensure a ban. There's plenty of grind profiles around tho. Have a look in the levelling area.

Farm Pets i sold a elementium geode for 11k!! I was shocked it sold *but need to be a miner*. Also good to see who has gold, The guy who bought the geode must have bought gold or something as in general he wanted a item so i made it and put it onto the AH at a stupid price and i mean stupid stupid stupid! and he bought it. . . :O shockin. Prospecting thorium made me well over 4k in a day, Again some one with gold! guild master maybe. He clearly was levelling JC so i moved to prospecting fel iron etc etc everything sold to the same guy some at low prices some at ridiculous prices. Everything Burning crusade materials wise will sell as people with alts and ?$ will have gold and want to level there proffessions quickly. Scan the AH for JC raws they will always be something missing!. I was selling azerothian diamonds for 150g had quite a few everyone sold!. Prospect adamantite for the dust i got some one to buy 20 for 300g. Little work needed wish it was simple enough just to press start and wake up with 5k gold.
dave1240: I nearly bought a Hyacinth Macaw (rare pet) for 14k gold - legitimately earned (not botted or bought) - on my main. I collect pets, so if there was only 1 that showed up on my server one day, and I couldn't get it elsewhere, I'd probably have paid 11k for it too I think the most gold my main has ever had at one time is 90k gold
Sounds like me... i buyed a few weeks before in those big amounts... had 2 much gold, and wanted to skill JC without farming... Spend abount 8k xD
Level professions and craft with ore/bars/herbs and sell those. Simply selling what you get from grinding will make some coin; crafting those items into items and selling them (if done smartly) will gain you far more. How do you do it smartly? RESEARCH. This isn't a get rich quick thing, but it certainly can be a get filthy rich slowly if you spend the time. What is selling on your server? How much competition is there for that item? Yes, you can bot and get your items much cheaper (meaning much less of YOUR time is actually involved) so you can undercut people that don't bot and still make lots of gold... but at the same time, making more gold would be better, right? So... if something has alot of competition, look for items that are decently priced with lower competition. One person mentioned a great market - although it's a slower market... rare compantion pets. You can sell individual pets for 50-100k - yes, literally but they are a slower sale. You may make nothing for a week and then sell 2 pets in a weekend and net 50k or more. Not all rare pets are worth 50k+ of course... and on some servers, none are. But I've seen Reins of Poseidon go for alot (75-90k) and others go for 50-75k. Now, if you 'really need fast cash', then sure, grind for some ore and herbs and sell them for some quick gold... BUT don't do it in one location for too long and put a chat monitor up with someone at least close by... but for the long term, look into how to make even more gold with less risk. Good luck!
I have done this before, i used to farm Cobalt Ore (high Popu Server) and herbs i was getting over 100mails + every 2 days of raw mats, the Ore was selling REALLY Good 60-100g per stacks but there was a time i spent like a week trying to sell the ore for 30-50g and no luck like its really depend, i quit doing Herbs cuz herbs wasnt selling at all, i manage like 40k gold in one week
