This is a profile which "/use"s Mysterious Fortune Cards and Fortune Cookies and will sell any white cards. It keeps all green, blue and purple cards so that you can have the option of vendoring them yourself or giving them to a friend. This uses RunMacro, but does so in a humanly realistic manner. Mysterious Fortune Cards are only used 7 times per second. Latest version for MoP
Honestly, why would anyone open the cards or cookies (other than for healing/buff)? They are a very bad bet... much better to sell them. Just my opinion...
Well when I farm I make nearly 600 of the cards in just a few hours of farming. I open all 600 and usually get 1 of the 1000-5000 cards. I sell the volatiles, and sell the inferno ink. And because my farmer is an engineer, I also sell volatile air. I make plenty of gold in the process and with the good chance of an epic card in the bulk opening process, I feel like I do quite well for myself.
tuba, have you tried selling the cookies? On many servers they sell very well in bunches of 3-5, especially on raiding nights. I would not sell MFCs anymore cause the only way to sell them well is to 'bark' them (advertise in trade chat)... they will sell very well that way, however when you do that, you are encouraging others to compete and undercut you, even when you are the one barking. I would recommend that you put several packs of cookies onto the AH each night even if you want to open up the rest.
The math has been done on this many times.. If you crafted millions in cards, you will never break even. It was designed by Blizzard as a "gold sink" A way for blizzard to take gold out of the economy, to slow down inflation. there is no way blizzard would allow us to just "print money". you lose approx 25% of your gold in doing this. If you must, just sell the inks to the people that think this is worth it, or to the ppl standing in trade barking adverts to sell them.
You failed to take into consideration one doing all their own farming of herbs. The cost per card is only 12s (for the parchment). I make approximately 400g per bag run (full bags 90 slots). This includes about 1 50g card and about 5 20g cards. I only paid 10g for 90 parchment. I've turned a HUGE profit, including what I sell from my herbalism otherwise, including Volatile Life and Air, extra herbs, and Inferno Inks. I urge you to check your sources.
Just because you BOT doesn't make it free... If you stole 100 car stereos from Best Buy, and you sold them all for $1 each would you be happy? NO. The Materials you farmed Have a value if sold at market price... You are better off to just sell the herbs at auction than spend all the time making and clicking cards. you'll probably make more gold too...
Your comparison sucks because my profit far exceeds your low expectation. I make about 3k every 2-3 hours from this process, (particularly farming whiptail as it's spawn rate is much higher than most cata herbs). Before I was using inscription, I had trouble selling the herbs on my server for any decent price, and I was making about 2k or less every 2-3 hours. This has significantly increased my profits. Check your math, try it yourself, and get back to me.
on my server the price of the most herb stack is under 14g... I have 40.000 herbs and 20.000 ores and I didn?t know what to do with. Now I know^^
Exactly. What you don't sell, or what you have left over, (even ONE full Hyjal Expedition bag's worth of herbs) can warrant a good amount of cards and thus allow the herbalist/inscriptionist to turn a profit. It's up to the user how they want to use this. Turn every herb you get into cards? Go for it. Turn only a few herbs into cards and sell those? Sure! There's no possible way this can be considered a gold sink. It's just not realistic. A gold sink literally takes money out of circulation. In this case, money is not only being put into circulation, it's never being taken out of circulation. (With the exception of the initial 12s purchase of resilient parchment which are easily made up for by ONE green card in a 90 card bag run). For this to qualify as a gold sink, money would need to be REMOVED from circulation and no tradeable/vendor-able item be created. That's just not the case here. The odds of you NOT making at least some kind of profit on about 100 cards is ridiculously unlikely if you're an herbalist and an inscriptionist. And as I've reported, I'm making at least 400g each 100 cards.
My math is sound. I could guarantee more gold if I told you what exactly to do. but, if making and using MFC nets you more profit that actually using the Ah, you need to rethink your process... and if this is how you want to do it, that's fine with me...
He is actually right. Making those cards is a gold sink, due to the herbs having a market price. Sure, you'll earn gold, but if you made other things instead, your income would be higher. The only thing that would make me use this is if I farm far more mats than I can sell on the AH.
No shit... really? Here's some basic math... You have stated that you make approx "3k every 2-3 hours from this process" So benefit of the doubt is you make 3k/2 hrs farming... 3000/2= 1500 So you make 1500g/hour? You have also stated you make approx 400g/ full bags (90 slots)... 400/90slots = 4.44g/slot... So, you make 4.44g/stack of herbs? Whiptail VENDORS for 4.61g/stack.... I think you are losing gold bud...
