I have not used HB since the last update to do pvp, but watching it do twin peaks for example (something with a gate/wall as the start) makes me feel very concerned that I'll be reported as a bot because I run into a wall, walk backwards, run into wall, walk backwards x however many times it takes until the bg starts. Is there anyway to change this behavior? edit: actually as I recall now in eots, my thoughts from watching it at the start because it could not sit still were: Omg in a bubble, in a bubble omg, omg omg, in a bubble, in a bubble, ahhhhhhh. Clicking all over the places trying to get out of the inescapable bubble.
I don't have one, but I imagine it wont be hard to make one. I'm unsure if it will provide the information needed though. brb getting log.
Perkaan... if you read the report above, you also probably read the request to post your log file... without that all you are doing is asking for sympathy. Nothing can be investigated if you don't actually post your log file that showed this happening.
I've had this problem before too Tony, but I babysit HB a lot, so I've just stopped it or said stuff in /s. What it appears is that the bot doesn't register it as a new BG. It seems to think the BG has already started and thinks it's "stuck" because the gate is down. If he doesn't get a logfile thrown out there for you Tony, I'll get you one in this thread in a day or two. I hit 85 last night and am gogni to farm pvp gear as soon as the servers are back up. I'm sure it'll happen at least once. I will look through some old log files, but that's probably a needle in a haystack over the different stuff I do with HB.
This should not be an unknown problem. Stuff like this has been reported numerous of times. Developers just don't fix it (or don't know how) Loads of other stuff has been added rather than fixing old bugs. The crashbug when stopping bot is one example. Looks like Rift is the way to go now since there isn't a lawsuit there.
Actually at least 50% of what the original complaint has been fixed. The EoTS bugging out in the bubble was fixed in the last update so that kinda kills a large portion of your argument. Some issues are easier than others to solve and in the case of what you mentioned (Wow crashing), it's often been solved by turning off all WoW plugins while botting. I found that if you run AB that you have to turn off Archy cause it conflicts and won't allow you to solve your artifacts. And honestly if you want to go to Rift cause HB is 'so messed up'... noone here is stopping you. A friend that I work with just came back to WoW after playing Rift for 6-7 months. He got to the end game and got bored... and came back cause he thinks that 4.3 and Transmorg'ing will be something enjoyable for him.
I think what he is saying is that he fears that now that a lawsuit has been filed against HB/GB, he fears they might stop giving it any priority and focus on other games.
I got that... I just was pointing out that issues are still being resolved and that noone is keeping him here by gun point...
Here are instructions on how to post your log: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...-how-attach-your-hb-log-file-[-pictures].html Will it show up in your logs? Maybe not, but they also include lots more info that you didn't... what bg, what level toon, what profile, which bot base (pvp or bg bot)...
