Level one reported me now banned

A level one character reported both of my accounts and now one of them are banned. he wispered me and told me, Hello reported. How could he even know? :S im confused. Sure i was in twilight highlands for a couple of hours yesterday but still not like he would stay online just watching in the who channel.

any one else that have seen any thing like this?

You really think it was the level 1 ALONE?
It was, of course a level 85 that observed you somewhere else doing something else botty.
THEN he turned around and got on his level 1 to message you.
He might have even just made that character sent you the message, and then deleted his character. That way there is no backlash for his account. The same way as all these "blizziaadgm" bullshit get away with it on the same accounts for months on months at a time.
If you turned around and say reported his lvl 1 character for harrassment, and it was deleted they would not be able to take any action because noone owns a character with that name.
Go wow armory the character name if you really care.
Either way appeal it.

Usually I get errors saying that a character needs to be level 10+ to be displayed. If the char doesn't exist, it just isn't there. But if it does and its not level 10 yet, its still shown. You just can't view the gear and stuff.

how can a lvl 1 whisper you in twilight when all mobs are lvl 84-85? either way, sorry to hear that.

Well, you don't have to be in the same area to whisper someone...

 

The gold spammers, if they are smart, will spam and instantly log off, as if you try to right click report them won't work because they aren't online. I've tried it multiple times, and seen them. Run into town, see then spam chat, then they disappear.

Either way he made the lvl 1 so you wouldn't have his mains name, as he is most likely botting also. He's just an asshole.

 

Or, they have already been banned that fast - thats why click report them wont work.

 

Don't be so naive. Blizzard doesn't have some just sitting watching every servers chat 24/7. Come on.
Not to mention you see it all day long, most of the time with the same name.

So no, there is no system in place for automated gold sales spam to ban them either.

 

well true, but to whisper someone, the person had to go thru a huge work around. Meaning, getting on his 80s lvl char, watch him, figure out his botting, to them get on his lvl 1 just to whisper? thats a lot of work.

 

It keeps his mains name safe for when he is botting. Like I said, he's an asshole.

 

I use spammenot, and have set the autoreport threshold very low (specially with url's and certain keywords got a higher value from me).
They get autoreported in the same instance they shout/tradechat/whisper etc so no escaping there by logging off.

I'm sure there's more addons that do this (SpamMeNot, BadBoy are the ones I know of).

Do you even know how to read? You suggested that gold spammers get banned instantly upon spamming trade. In no way did I suggest that Accounts are not linked by name and date. Seriously...

it happend to two of my accs too. very weird and suspicious. the lvl 1 chars had names like blizzaid and blizzgm. Maybe some goldseller bots or chinafarmers. (They wrote me in a really bad german.) But I am wondering: how do they know? I use this accs also for normal playing. When I was playing normal, they never wrote me. But when I was using profession buddy and autoangler or gatherbuddy (with really good profiles and only short periods like 2 or 3 hours), they noticed somehow and wrote me. How do they know that I am botting. Is there a way that hb player somehow get aware of other hb player through plugins or I dont know what?

 

Come on people it's obvious the guy was farming. Saw you r character running the same route as his. Wrote your character name down and walla made a level one to log on to and whisper you' ve been reported

Exactly this. I don't see how this was any hard to come up with in the first place, having to wonder so much to even have to post about it?
