Now there is a new agreement about your account. It says you can get benefits (d3 for free, mount, etc) if you will be pay for next 12 months. So you can't even cancel your subscription anymore. Here is my questions:

      * Does it help to avoid the ban hammer or get less painful warnings for your botting? Because they might not want to close your account since they are intrested in $ even more if you are signed for it and going to pay next those months. They shown that they don't want to lose any subscribers and if you pay you are gonna even get d3 for free.

*They said if you will not pay for next month for some reason, but signed for Annual Pass, diablo 3 will be removed and you will have some problems since you accepted the agreement and got benefits. Might they have a tough policy now about any fault from the customers' side?

Quite intresting topic for me, I'd like to hear some opinions.

Main - Legit Account - Yes
      Botting Account - NO

if you get banned, they are going to remove D3 anyway. so why bother? your better off just buying the collectors edition of D3 and using the free gametime that comes with it.

As far as i know, you're only eligible for the 4 months from D3 CE if you already signed up for the annual pass thou.

I've already signed up for annual pass on my main acc and gotten 12 months through RAF, im now considering to do the same for my botting account since i consider myself a "safe botter" and only bot for my personal gains(aka dont sell gold etc).
I highly doubt getting a pass will help you avoid the banhammer in any way thou.

Some concerns you should think through before getting the pass:
      - As you pointed out yourself, what consequences do you face should you be caught botting during that year, will you still be bound to pay for a full year? (i highly doubt it, but i certainly dont know)
      - Can you even afford a full year sub, and does potential gains outweigh the risks of getting caught and possible reactions blizzard take against your account.

Some additional concerns should you decide to go for the RAF 12 month solution:
      - What happens if your 12 months are withdrawn for whatever reason(payment frauds, exploiting RAF etcetc)
      - Can you pay the "full price" for the annual pass if your still bound by the annual pass agreement even after said gametime through RAF is removed.
      - What other risks does this expose your account to?(Some report that this is a bannable offence, thou noone has bothered to provide legit proof of such claims)

My personal thoughts are, i can easily afford to loose an account, i can easily afford to loose the money/gold i spend on RAF time should it be removed for whatever reason, but should i loose that gametime and still be bound by the Annual Pass, im fucked.

Since this deal is a "no-go" for me without the RAF solution, im certainly not gonna doom myself by getting the pass for more than one botting account at most. As far as gains go im 80% in it for cheap gametime, 20% in it for a "free" D3 account to bot on.

If the only benefit your really after is lowering your risk of getting banned, i'd advise you to stay away from it all together(even on your main account).

      Good luck :)

I don't really think you are able to get the annual pass with RAF months.. "18 years old, CREDIT CARD ........."

Yea you have to sign up for a payment plan which requires a valid CC but any form of gametime *should* qualify.
      The final agreement reads
RAF should fall within the promotion category(thou I will not be held personally responsible should this not turn out to be the case), should this change at some point, blizzard themselves void their own agreement and you should be "let off the hook" as far as the committing to the annual pass goes.

I haven't read up on it, but Diablo was always free to play online through the battle.net servers. Unless they changed it, there is no subscription, therefore no free gametime.

I think CG is referring to the 4 months of gametime you get added to your WoW account should you decide to sign up for the annual pass and buy the collectors edition of D3.
From the WoW Annual Pass FAQ
And your right, diablo 3 itself certainly does not require a subsciption :)

My concerns on buying this were, what happens if they ban me when I buy the season pass. Do I still get Diablo? I don't see how they can ban me from WOW and not give me Diablo. Sounds like a big lawsuit waiting to happen. I would buy it, but I don't want to buy it and then have Blizzard ban me.

*EDIT* Talking about my main account (which I bot on obviously)

I doubt they've allowed room to sue them if you get banned. You're knowingly violating the ToS between you and Blizzard. Not sure if they ban your entire account from WoW and all other games, or just WoW... but it seems pretty risky to do on your main account.

I work for Xbox and Xbox got sued when they banned people's consoles for modding them and they wouldn't refund the remaining time on peoples subscriptions. It was a class action law suit

They only ban your WoW account, no effects on any other games on the same BNet account (says me from experience)
The question is not whether someone can get sued. Everyone can get sued over just about anything (in the US that is). The question is whether they have a hope in hell of winning.

While I am no lawyer I did thoroughly read through that user agreement around 10 times.
Nowhere does it state about early forcible closure of the account in any form or even cryptic-like lawyer jargon. I analyzed the whole thing as best as I could and I dont think they can just close the account, then expect you to pay for a service you are no longer getting (playing the game)
You did sign an agreement saying you were going to keep paying to play consistently with no gaps whatsoever for 12 months. Not one time did it even mention early cancellation on THERE part.

goto walmart and get a damn pre paid credit card... calling billing and support and get them to add your new pre paid CC to do one months game time recurring (even if you already got RAF time on your account... like my account is RAF till Feb.2012 and I am gtg.)

Free gametime for WoW not for D3. And yes, by getting the Annual Pass and buying the D3 CE you get 4 months gametime for WoW. If it's because of the annual pass or not, I am not sure. But 4 months are given to the Annual Pass subscribers atleast.

I called billing cause I tried to sign my account up for annual pass (have raf till end of this month) my account says not eligible, (added a CC onto account set to start end of nov) billing told me I couldnt sign up for pass till my CC was in effect, basically I have to pay 1month on a CC then I could load on 12months raf to hit the 1yr..

Hmm I did some more checking online and looks like theres some people out there not eligible because they got raf time from someone and that person reversed the charges on the Raf which flags your account and not eligible..
