Well after 4 years of heavy Glider and HB use I've finally received my first ban. Since I'm on my phone Ill do my best with ban format. Us realm, 10 hours per day, quest, gb2 farm, and 15 stacks of just about everything you can imagine on the ah. I can say that 4 years with with successful botting and just now getting banned is pretty good. I always knew it was a matter of when and not if I got caught. Just the nature of the beast. Not sure how I got flagged for gold selling unless its because of the large amounts of gold I deposit into guild bank on bot account and withdraw from my main account. Was suprised my main non botted account wasn't affected. Since I have tranfered over 2 mil since cata from bot account to main. I may or may not dispute the account closure, i would just assume blizzard not dig any further to see exactly where all the gold went lol. I will be buying another account and back to doing what I do best. Botting my ass off. Only thing that chaps my ass is those dirty little bastards got me the day after I added a new gametime card lol. Happy botting HB users and just remember if and when you get banned it was something you did not what HB did. All you can do is ante up, buy a new account and get back to it. Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation --Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy. Sent from my thunderbolt using Tapatalk
Glad you are in good spirits about it. I just lost two accounts today. One I have been playing since launch. Really a sad day for me :/
I have entirely too much to lose on my main account to even think about botting it. 7 level 85's, more gold than I really know what to do with. My only real fear has been them linking account a to account b. But as far as high spirited, absolutly, being a guild leader and raid leader HB has made my life very easy. The guild bank is fully stocked with gems, Flasks, fish, etc... So not only have I made my main account very wealthy. I've been fortunate enough to make our raiding experince a little better to by supplying raiding materials and a high gb repairs. I've accomplished everything I had hoped to with HB and way more. In the last few months, since Blizzard implemented their Ticket system on the website, I've noticed they seem to have adapted to a 3 strike policy.. They'll ban you twice, and if you petition it saying you don't know why you got banned, they'll typically reverse it, but the 3rd time, you're a goner. This has been the case for my last 5 accounts or so.. (Yeah.. I go through quite a few. )
So you submit a ticket rather than calling? Not ever having to deal with this situation before I just figured I'd call and inform them that I have never sold gold ( which I haven't mind you) but other than that not a clue what else to say. Just figured i would keep it friendly and upbeat on the phone. Kill them with kindness and if that doesn't work, there's a walmart right down the road with a battlechest just waiting for me to start over again lol. Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk
That apparently does not work with abuse of economy bans. I am fighting two right now that I just cannot win.
***Notice of Account Closure*** Account Name: WOW1 Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy Thats the one that I had overturned multiple times.. *shrug* Maybe I got lucky, or maybe they liked my exuses.. LOL.
I really have no intentions of making any excuses, but out of curiosity what did you tell them that got your accounts back? Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk
I've gotten this same reply on both of my accounts: Greetings! Thank you for your continued correspondence. After an additional thorough review of the action taken against this account, we regret to inform you that we have arrived at the same conclusion and the account action will not be removed under any circumstances. While we understand that you may have concerns regarding the nature or application of the policies related to this account action, we must reiterate that it is the result of a breach of the Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment: World of Warcraft Terms of Use), which all players accept before accessing the game environment. As this issue has been reviewed by multiple representatives, it is now considered closed. Should you have any questions regarding a different account or issue, please feel free to contact us again. However, further inquiries regarding this issue will no longer receive a reply. Three times I've asked what exactly I was banned for and I get template responses. They sure as hell didn't buy my excuses.
Ill update my signature soon as I find out for sure that the account is gone lol. Im assuming your speaking of the ban=0 part haha. funny guy
no1knowsy I think I'll keep my signature just the way it is. And as far as Ytok, bad luck man. It took 1 ticket and within 5 minutes I received this response. "Due to a second thorough review of the circumstances involved in this account action, we have made the decision to modify the previously communicated penalty. This additional review took into consideration a variety of factors including the history and standing of this account. Please understand that should another incident arise in the future, it is possible that a different outcome will be reached." So I guess its time to lay low with this account for awhile, and you know what, Ill probably go buy a new one anyway
