Is PVP faster then Arch? - I wanna try leveling via PVP, making it easier to get gear aswell, but seems to go kinda slow
Think it depends a lot on your class/server battlegroup etc etc. Personally I find arch very quick for levelling just have to buy gear later on :3
True, but my battle-group consists of the Alliance always winning, I watched my brother use BG 4 leveling, just up like 5 bars from winning @ LV44, but I think I'm sticking with Questing/Arch, as painful as it already is XD
WoW is designed so that it's always faster to level through questing, doing instances once and completeing all the quests in that instance is on par with questing I guess, but there's really nothing that comes even remotely close to it, even if some Call to Arms battlegrounds and InstanceBuddy isn't always that far behind. There are great 1-80 questing profiles out there mainly Kick's, after that just run ArchBuddy 80-85 with a 310% speed mount (it's around half the XP/h of questing Cataclysm areas).
ArchBuddy is really amazing even with the 280% speed mount, unrested xp with no looms on my feral druid was 700k xp/hr and completely afk. Also I really recommend running archbuddy in outlands once you are of a high enough level there is no realistic way that the npcs there can kill you, and because the area is so small you don't run any risk of going into a "Uldum" type area and dying repeatedly after setting training to 525...
Sorry but imo gathering (herb and mining) is the best form of leveling. completely AFK, a lot of gold per/h and the exp is very good.
What level are you when you got 700k per hour? I am 72 and I am getting 200k per hour, it took all night to get one level, I have 280% flying and heirlooms Q.Q
Instancebuddy + Grinding is this safe to do all nigh if you have been online for sometime during daytime?
Sorry should of said that was at level 81, my mage at level 72 is roughly 220k per hour no heirlooms though.
I have level'd many toons using Kicks questing profiles(ally), sometimes it needs a babysitter, but sometimes I go to my friend's house come home and its level'd for hours without a single bug. STV quests have issues, as do a few others here and there but overall it simply works, and is undisputably faster than anythingelse. Big problems questing in Outland, I do instance-buddy here, Outland instances are often filled with OP DK's and people really focused on lvling, instances grps barely ever say a word to eachother, very impersonal, particularly Ramps and Blood Furnace. Steam rolled in 5mins without a person saying anything. Very safe. At 75, i find Archeology buddy is the best. Why? 100% afk, and I mean 100%, 24/7 it wont ever bug. Never get a single /w, never see another player in fact, at lvl 80+ it nets around 4-600k xp/per hour, 2k gold and maybe the odd cool item, never enters combat, never bugs trying to find vendor etc. Also, I prefer to level multiple toons to around level 75 (RAF preferably) then I rotate them on Archeology Buddy so they always have rested, it works on digs! Without rested I leveled a Paly from 75-85 just through Archeology, botting several hours a day but nothing stupid, not even near 10hrs, in 5 days without even having to check it or gear him or do anything at all. PvP is the least safest way to Bot; full stop. And as people in your BG may be very frustrated and be there just to level themselves, hence raging to win, you are running the risk of /rage reporters. Instancebuddy is great for semi-afk level'in, do it if your quest profile is buggy in certain zones, so you can skip them; and if you have an easy dungeon in your lvl range that your bot can navigate smoothly.
I usually do BG Bot to up to lvl 60, then I buy the flying mount (150% speed) and then a mixed mode (AB y BG Bot). I have full heirlooms and guild perks, 60% extra XP taking everything on consideration. But i find this method somehow slow. I don't wanna bot 24/7, so i just leave it overnight... 8 hours per day or so. I found that either of these methods net one level per day, one level and a half at the most... Has anyone found a better method? (Not questing / Grinding, because of the high ban probability).
If you don't want to quest or grind after 60, do instance buddy, I know this is probably going to get slammed! However, I just rerolled to a new server. I started a DK at 8pm in the evening. By midnight, I stopped at 60. I used Nesox's profile then IB to 60 in HFP instances. I had so much luck, I started IB again at 8am. by 8pm, I was 69. That is with no BOAs at all because of a server reroll. I'd love to see what it could do with actual BOAs. You just have to make sure to pick your poison well. Don't IB every dungeon. Some of them are terrible, but some are great, especially for ranged. Personally, I do this: 1-57 Azenius Quest Profiles / PvP if it's a weekend of something I can queue for 57-70 Instancebuddy 70-80 Either Kick's Wrath Questing / PvP if weekend / ArchyBuddy (for AFKing) 80-85 Kick's questing profiles without a doubt The only area that I've really ever got bogged down bad at is the 68-71 range. If you aren't BOA-stacked, 68-70 questing is brutal because of agro range at the lower level. I just bot UK until 70 then go on. You'll also want to babysit Kick's wrath profile while in borean tundra and howling fjord. A couple quests don't work out really well or are buggy on melee for me. Please note: I'm not blaming kick. I could have a behavior issue. I'm actually testing the kick one out trying to hunt down a couple issues with 2-3 quests that won't right for me. I'm going to get them to kick as soon as I run across them. However, after Howling Fjord, I've got nothing but love for that profile! EDIT: the 57-68 from dungeons was done as a DPS also queueing as DPS. I was experiencing anywhere from 250-325k per hour depending on the groups. That is about a 2hr/level rate.
What dungeons are you queuing for? I tried IB some time ago with my healer, and it was awful... My priest used to run towards the mobs, aggroing them... Does it work better for a DPS class? In fact, the problem was not the role itself (it performed its role quite well), but the weird behavior... If the bot is gonna pull when it's not supposed to, it will make you look suspicious... (Not to mention the wipes, the insults from the other players, and so on...) Since that day i stayed away from IB... But perhaps I can try it with my pally... (Currently level 32). So, i will appreciate any advice on what dungeons should i queue for.
Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Here is the path I pretty much feel comfortable AFKing: Ragefire Chasm Stockade Scarlet Monastery: Library Scarlet Monastery: Graveyard Scarlet Monastery: Armory Razorfen Kraul Zul'farrak Sunken Temple Hellfire Ramparts Blood Furnace Underbog Mana Tombs Sethekk Halls Utgarde Keep Nexus Drak'tharon Keep Halls of Stone That's usually what I run when I'm afk. For instance, I'm leveling a new toon right now and am in the 69-72 range. I'm run UK/Nexus/DTK while I'm not even home. I know there are others that have been tagged as afkable, but these are the ones I'm totally comfortable with. However, at 75 or 76, I load Kick's horde LK questing profile and afk that. Don't take that as the bible to afk questing profiles. However, with an unstuck addon, it can't be beat from 75-80, IMO. And please note: I always queue as dps. If I'm on a healing toon, I still do DPS. Unless you have a bad CC, you have much less people talk to you and need less attention.
