I'm interested to know whether anyone has had any indication that blizzard tracks how long an account is logged in as opposed to a single character. The reason I ask this is because I'm interested in leveling a few more characters on the same account to gain some other professions and I planned on doing this in the off-time of my farming character.
per char there is a traking which leeds to automated security notices however if you have 8 x lvl 80 on 1 account and each char plays 3h , there is no prob with traking
That's what I was hoping. Shouldn't be an issue then. The farmer on this account does between 8-10 hours and then once he finishes I want to level something on the side.
As far as I can see they don't track play times. I ran a Priest for 7 days no breaks and received like 5 whispers over the entire period and those were from gold sellers. I'm EU and have been using bots for about 3 years on my accounts. Pretty sure EU is a hell of a lot more relaxed than the US.
there definitely is no time tracking as far as I can tell. I ran 3 GB accounts 24/7 for 3 months before they were banned. The only times they were offline was during maint.
Is the bold proven? Because I run Gatherbuddy 24/7 besides maintence, and have been doing this for several months with no ban/ suspension.
When did that start? I know for 110% that they didn't do that @ start of WotLK. They did in vanilla for a brief amount of time tho.
now run GB 24/7 for 2 months and gather every minute an herb or an ore , and now look what message you will get at the end security notice ... and this is automated because of gathering count with time count combined
I do that already... I herb and mine. I have never gotten a security message, only a ban, and I am pretty sure it stemmed from a report
There actually is a tracking system, I found it out not the hard way but when WotLK got released I was leveling like crazy was online for about 32 hours straight (LAN party ) just leveling and leveling and AFKing when there was food . After around 23 hours or so there was this GM that whispered me and said "Hello bla bla bla common bullshit, are you there?" And where I replies "Yes, why?" Then the GM just said "Oh nevermind" For me this is enough evidence believe me or not but be carefull
I grind my bots 24./7 pretty much and well i would say this " some times i get people in the zone who really have no right being there at there level, and they are close to my bot" i do think blizz track per char online game time , maybe just a 1 min re log will reset it - since i am still going no susp - no ban-3 bot's
He would say something like "Oh Light-bearer, may the Light stay with you as long as your mana != empty" (paladin), lol! Seriously, they say some wierd stuff. I once asked him "whats that your smoking, i dont know what it is... but i want some", and he said it was his job to say stuff like that lol
