      Just found out today that you can create a DK on another server w/o having a level 80 on that server. When did they change it? Use to be you had to have a 55 on that server. Now it's just a 55 on your account now.

      Pretty sure it's always been just a 55 on account, not server specific.

      when WoTLK came out i tried to make a DK on another server where i didn't have a 55 and said i needed a 55 on the server to create one.

      There was a bug at some time that didnt allow you to, even though you should have been able too. I had the same issue.

      Not a bug, working as intended. They patched it some time ago, though.

      When WOTLK was released, it was only on the server you had a 55+, about 2-3 months after WOTLK release, they changed it to account wide, so it's been that way for over a year if I remember correctly.

      Late '08 or early, early '09. Easy way to get some quick gold on a lowbie toon on a new realm.
