A bit off topic but I decided to post this on this particular thread of the most complete CC (+rep for this to the author). I would like to suggest to people to try and play with the rotation of each class by themselves first. By this way they will be more capable to understand the settings or even suggest the author improvements!

Sorry for the OT and once more many grats to the author. I use it for my resto shaman with great success.

impro, Please be sure to attach your log file rather than cutting and pasting. Steps on attaching a file to your post are in the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE]. The large posts created by copying and pasting the log file contents to the body of a post render it unusable by anyone accessing by phone or a small form factor device and severely impact the use of the thread by all members. I've requested the forum admin to remove the posts containing the log file contents. I reviewed what was present prior to that and it not all the contents appear to have been pasted (it stopped at the point the ShamWOW.config file was about to load.) Please see the FAQ and repost with the complete log file attached. I'll keep and eye out for it and assist further when its available. Thanks and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

One thing I always do with every build of HB is delete the ShamWOW included, I do this for two reasons. First I consider ShamWOW incomplete because it doesn't include the "CONFIG" directory and files. Second this way I alway know I'm using the latest build... I've had no trouble with questing, lazyraider in both healing or dps spec.

Hope that helps anyone having trouble.

      Problem with targetting

So I have a problem with running the bot in quest mode, using firelands profile. The problem happens when other players are there doing the dailies. ShamWOW is targetting the npc's , their totems, etc and after following them around for 45 secs it blacklists them. It doesn't matter if they are flagged , same fraction, if I'm in combat or not.

I've included a log so you can see..

      Bobby,
I have another question. Is it a client problem that the character runs around the monster trying to kill it? My goblin just keeps running around it. It kills a lot it just runs around in circles. I'm not sure if it's supposed to. I can attach a log if you want. Just wasn't sure if the bot was supposed to do that! Besides that, it is working fine :).

      Thanks!

I just want to say that you deserve a statue built for you in every major city in the game. Your CC has been absolutely perfect since I have started using it. So efficient with spells and cooldowns. It's just incredible how someone can do what you do. Just thought I should let you know that your work was being well used and appreciated ;)

rcadams, Thanks for passing that along. The installer added to HonorBuddy overwrites the ShamWOW installation with an older version, so you will want to reinstall each time you use the HonorBuddy automatic update rather than downloading from the forums. I'll add a note about that to the FAQ as well. Bobby53

impro, Thanks for posting. Unfortunately the behavior described does not match the results of my testing. Please use the steps described in ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] for posting any issue, question, or suggestion. There you will find a template you can copy+paste along with steps on attaching a complete debug log. It is important that as soon as you notice the behavior, you look at the system time on your computer and provide that in your post. Thanks again and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

      Bobby--

I don't know if you can answer this yourself, but if you can't I"m sure some of the other CC users can answer me. My question is, with your current release of ShamWoW (4508), what would be the average DPS an elemental shaman can get with a gear iLevel of 340? I'm currently getting approximately 5000-5500. This amount seems rather low, especially when running with other elemental shaman that are less geared than myself. I only say less geared because I'm using an addon called PlayerScore, which is the new version of GearScore, and it tells me iLevel as well as GS.

I'm not reporting a problem or issue with the CC, since I did manage to finally get it installed an dworking after major headaches and many clean installs of HB. I just find it hard to believe that a shaman with an iLevel of less than 300 should be able to out DPS a shaman of iLevel 340 by almost 3000 dps.

Just curious as to what could be changed, or if maybe the rotations have changed in the recent patches, or anything else like that? I can still use this CC to heal the hell out of a group though, and also fight as well as heal. The Resto part is, in my opinion, practically flawless. But, again, in my opinion, the elemental rotations seem to be lacking or missing something. I just don't know.

P.S. - I'm sorry, I didn't post a log because I didn't feel that there was anything that needed to be looked at as far as bug reporting, or hangs, or crashes. The CC is working properly it seems. I just wondered if things needed to bve added or reworked as far as elemental dps is concerend.

zeldrak: The question about DPS as written is too general (no indication of the combat environment is given.) Not sure if you are referring to LazyRaider, InstanceBuddy, which environment, was it single target or AoE, you looking at cumulative numbers for the whole run or peak #'s occurring during it, etc. etc. etc. Overall, I'm not in favor of throwing around DPS #'s in this sense in the forum especially when used with LazyRaider because it depends a great deal on your positioning (in range, movement during casts, etc.) as well as changing targets. My suggestion is to check what you get playing manually in a specific situation, then repeat that same combat situation as closely as possible with ShamWOW and compare those numbers. If ShamWOW comes up significantly short, post the log file as well as your observations on possible DPS loss comparing its rotation to the one listed in EJ. Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

      Hi Bobby,

thank you for all your work. I use ShamWOW and Lazyraider with great success as a resto shaman. It is really awesome and it works like a charm.

One question though; Would it be sensible to use Lifeblood (herbalist skill) everytime its available for the haste buff? It might be a small boost but that can still make a difference.

Thanks again for all your work.

bobby, im getting the same issue as impro had 2 pages back. where the cc won't load fully but instead just gives the stats. I went through everything in the instructions and it seems that the download doesnt have a .config or a .dll.config file in the download. could you look into this please?

Yes, that's actually a change coming with the next release. Lifebloods heal got nerfed with 4.0 so this should have been changed to casting as a combat buff with that work. It was simply missed. Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

cabluey, Thank you for taking the time to post as well as review past posts for a possible solution. The most important things in those posts was referring impro to the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] which contains the following:

      1. A template to copy+paste so you know what information to provide
      2. Steps on attaching a complete debug log file

You'll want to do that anytime you have a question, problem, or constructive criticism to get the quickest possible response.

As for having the same install issue as impro, the download available from Post #1 [CLICK HERE] in this thread contains the .ZIP you should download. If you have used the HonorBuddy automatic update, you'll need to repeat the installation of the .ZIP contents (since the HonorBuddy team is bundling an old version of ShamWOW that overwrites the contents of the ShamWOW folder.)

The .ZIP does contain a Config folder which has a ShamWOW.config in it. If this doesn't get installed, then ShamWOW will halt the bot with an error message saying it is needed.

Thanks again and good luck with your Shaman,
      Bobby53
