My guild doesn't know because In the back of my head I'll always keep in mind people will become angry because they don't got what you got and happily take it away from you. I've seen it happen a dozen of times where things like that go wrong. All i've told my guild is i'm a wealthy player and if they need gold they can buy from me. This gotten me 6 private buyers from the guild alone and 7 others on the realm! They even think i'm no life because im mostly online all the time, and my 2 other personal bots are too in the same guild! So there happy with me to keep activity of the guild high since it's only. 10 man guild with 20 people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's whatever. I know a couple top guild members on my realm who bot and sell to their guild. Who really cares tho? If you wanna sell might as well be to ppl you know.
when i start boting everyone at the guild was saying it was stupid and it will get me banned and bla bla bla.. now most of the guild members are boting! i have change server for my selling business!!! ^^
Smart man I am sure i will be reading posts from most of you silly botters here at some point soon: Ban Section - Ban Reports
Doubt it....I'm probably one of the more open people out there in botting and I've gotten hit no more than anyone else. In fact in this very thread it probably would not be hard for you to figure out exactly who my botting character is, but I don't care. Paranoia will only cause you stress. If you follow my creedo, never bot with anything you aren't willing to lose, then it doesn't matter. I've been banned, but never for most of the stupid things people are posting on here. Too many auctions? Doubt it broke a 1000 auctions posted in a single day yesterday. Been doing that going on 3-4 weeks now and not a single peep. I've had probably 5-6 people tell me that they were reporting me. In fact I just got a warning on my botting account for "harassassment" because I ignore dodged some GW2 fanboi that I was arguing with in trade. No suspension or ban the action was listed as "Educated" I had to laugh. Stess != Fun So why stress over things you have zero control over. Blizzard will either find you and ban you or they won't. In 99.999% of the cases Blizzard doesn't know who you are, doesn't care who you are, and as long as you aren't causing too many problems for other people they won't care who you are. Someone is right though, if you reveal yourself to strangers as a botter you run the risk of someone having a vendetta against you and then you're pretty much done.
Nobody knows, one might suspect, but that'd be because I sell a lot of things to them (and they would not report me even if they knew).
I am in a fairly small 10 man raiding guild, because the guild is so small I have told them I bot and they protect me by not sending tells when I am out of SW. In return for this I keep the GB stocked with most the various mats need to make the raiding supplies. Also I have gotten 3 other people to start botting and have walked them through all I have learned about botting as safely as you can be about it.
I don't get the logic of telling people, especially in a guild there are many cons for me. - don't get too much gold esle people get jealous - show you got top dps, they might suspect you of botting and hating you for it - one gets butt hurt and backfire you - you have to supply the guild, which could be mats you can use to gain gold - you always have the chance of one fellow new botter telling friends then asks how he got them and tells your name and so on and on... I hope all of you that did tell are lucky enough to be on the safe side, since I reckon some of these reports out there are from reckless botting and people reporting even if they know you. Also if some of them start botting, and get banned make an educational guess who will gets the blame?
My guild leader is a very strict WoW player. He's sort of odd, actually. He would kick me out of the guild if he knew I botted, even though I've been first or second on the DPS list, and first on the healing list. He believes that the game should be played, not botta. Basically, he's a hardcore believer in the EULA and TOS. *shrug* So, I don't mention anything and I keep supplying the guild with mats, potions, gold, and assistance when needed. On a different note, I believe in botting. If everyone did it then there would be no wipes, or at least they would be drastically reduced, but then the gold market would be non existant, so it's a double edged sword.
I only told one guy in my guild, the guy I've known longest and we got eachother on FB and stuff. But I told him to shut about it and not spread it around. I don't want a reputation that says "Using HB" in my forehead, even tho I love it! *side note; HB not working atm?*
If my guilds are too stupid to figure out that I'm a bot since I never talk, am never in the same zone, and almost always on. Then they don't deserve to know and they are stupid.
Meh i dont know why people tell other let people just come across it, the more people you tell the bigger the botting comunity gets = the harder it is to sell. and it just pisses people on your server off more and they more likely to report because they cant get a node. i belive in keeping it to yourself for those reasons but thats just my opinion.
