I am keenly interested in a way to actively stop the operation of HB while I am playing the game at the keyboard. This has been queried in a few different posts, across different releases of HB but without any lasting resolution. Tabing out or switching windows to hit the "stop" button isn't an option, especially when that almost always results in a disconnect at the worst possible tiime. The majority of my HB use is with "software-assisted" play when dual boxing by running CombatBot, LazyRaider, InstanceBuddy, etc. There are times when I want to manually cast a spell or, more importantly, activate a macro but HB is then competing with me instead of assisting. Using a Vanish sequence to avoid a wipe or trying to place a Lightwell while HB is healing comes to mind... Is it possible to stop or pause HB from within WoW, either through a macro, LUA script, watched hotkey or whisper, etc? This way a kill-switch function could preface any direct user interventions and have HB resume control when prudent. I know other people have expressed interest in something like this to alleviate HB-gone-wild moments or for developmental testing... Thanks in advance for anything you can pass along...
It would be silly to do that. HB runs OUT of wow so its kinda untraceable unless they scan your RAM. you would just be condemning yourself if you had a option like this ^^
What about stopping the bot based on a user-defined text string, when whispered to yourself it flips the switch... Don't ShutUp/LogMeOut plugins work like this? Also, found these two archives: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/archiv...ggle-pause-start-honorbuddy-press-button.html http://www.thebuddyforum.com/archiv...-plug-ins-archive/19286-plugin-hb-toggle.html The second one appears to have a complete code length pasted, could this be evolved by someone knowledgeable to run with current releases? And finally, I've seen mention of something like, "Global hotkey for LazyRaider registered: Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Z" in a search... Is that something viable or am I confused by the foreign language its posted in...? Thanks again
No idea what the supposed hotkey is for Lazyraider. Working with Windows on user input devices is a pain in the ass. Depending on how much I am willing to work on this, I'll see if I can toss it into BuddyHelper
