ShamWOW for HB2 - An Enhance/Elemental/Resto + PVP/RaF Healbot by Bobby53

Thanks for the help! Reinstalled HB and extracted the files over again and now it's working but I got a new problem... After running the bot for awhile, it freezes my WoW completely.

 

Shitbagwasted, If you encounter a problem you'll want to post an issue in the same fashion you did before using the steps from the FAQ. If you have had a lot of start and stop botting activity (which is common when first learning to use HonorBuddy and getting it set up) you will at some point need to Shutdown/Restart Windows to clear out memory. HonorBuddy has issues interacting with WOW after encountering certain problems (like freezes.) Thanks for the post and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53

IvanRJ, Thanks for the details. You are using LazyRaider, which means the user handles movement and targeting leaving spell casting to the bot. Facing is a movement function and should be disabled. I am not at my computer but when I return will see if there was a change in that area that I missed including in the Change History. Also, you mentioned this occurring at 17:00 but the log file begins at 17:51. If you intended to attach a different log file just add that one to your post and I'll take a look at it. New logfile, only doing Quest with Honorbuddy_2.0.0.5494,Deepolm (Kick?s profile) with Disable CC Movement, ans still not facing the target when iit is atacking behind you..

Been using this new build with lazyraider for raids and heroics for a few hours now, and all I can say is SHAMWOW!!!!

Hey I was wondering if it is possible you add two features.
Pause Healing button & Stop healing if I eat or drink

 

Yea these are two superb ideas but I do not think the pause one is going to be put in. I think I read that it would involve to much work to do it or something like that, I could be wrong though. But the idea about eating is awesome. I can't remember the number of times I thought it was safe to pop food only for it to stand back up a split second later for it to refresh water shield or top off a char that just buffed stamina. I am not sure if you could throw in a check to see if a player is eatting or drinking to halt all actions until it is standing again or not, but that would be awesome, especially in those times where you are constantly moving and just wanna get a quick burst of mana while others are moving to next pull.

 

Please give us the oportunity to manually set target for Earth Shield. Shamwow is perfect in most any other way, but now earth shields seem to be a bit random, and I see in several raids and 5 mans that it is refreshed after running out. This is lost healing.

 

Hi Bobby53, I just wanted to take a sec and give you much thanks and appreciation for the excellent work you do for this bot, especially this CC for Shaman lovers like myself.

 

IvanRJ, As mentioned before Facing is a movement function. Movement is disabled either when you select that setting as you described in Class Options, or automatically when using LazyRaider. When movement is disabled it applies to all automatic movement during combat. Since the choosing these setups turns off movement (thus turning off Facing), it appears that it is behaving correctly based upon the logs and description given.

I also checked the changes in in ShamWOW 4.5.09 and none were made in this area, so you should obtain the same results if you use the same settings in ShamWOW 4.5.08.

@rcadams, I definitely consider all user comments and feedback for provoking change in the behavior of ShamWOW. However, there are two key awareness items all users should know regarding requests for change:

1) The design objective for ShamWOW is to assess the current combat scenario (Shamans spec, operating environment, key stats, buffs, talents, glyphs, enemy stats, enemy count, friendly count, etc. etc. etc.) and automatically provide the best in class response. In other words, it should figure out what should be done and do it without the user having to say to.

2) Any change request needs to have details describing the combat situation it is trying to provide an improved response for. In other words, just asking for a Pause Healing button isn't sufficient. An explanation of the issue resolved by the Pause Healing button is needed. With that information, I may see a way for ShamWOW to automatically detect and respond to that situation without requiring a button that would later have to be unchecked, re-clicked, etc. There are already too many options in ShamWOW and I would rather remove existing ones than add more.

So in response to these two requests:

Pause Healing button - please describe the combat situation (spec, environment, etc.) and what is happening that would make it advantageous to have this button

Stop healing if I eat or drink - please provide details of what situation you don't want to heal when resting. I'm assuming this refers to a Resto, but other than that don't know if you mean PVP, Raids, etc. That type of detail is needed because turning off healing in that situation in all circumstances would not be desirable.

@shovelhead: The Pause button is not too much work or too difficult to do. Effort just needs to result in an improvement. Based upon the minimal info provided, its unclear how a Pause Healing button for a Resto used with LazyRaider differs from the HonorBuddy Stop/Start button. That is why details about the combat scenario are needed. I appreciate your thoughts on these and other changes as well, Bobby53

 

Heffalompen, Thank you for the post and my apologies for your issue. However more detail is required (battlegrounds, arena, dungeons, raids? it is handled differently in each.) In general, the symptoms described for Earth Shield do not match the results of my testing. Be sure to use the template and steps provided on the ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] for any question, issue, or constructive criticism you would like me to research and respond to. Note, there is an option to disable ShamWOW from applying any shields putting that responsibility in your hands if you prefer. See Class Options -> General -> Disable Shields. That option was added more for Arena play so the user could quickly move Earth Shield around as they prefer, but feel free to use this in any environment where you want to be responsible for manually applying and reapplying all Shields. hm in .09 is elementry mastery not working for me. anyone with the same problem?

What should have happened (be specific): Decent dps (I'm assuming?) Casts correctly, full rotation
What did happen (be specific):I'm not sure if i've configured it wrong, but the rotation was going slow (at first, it was even trying to heal people as elemental). it'd use flame shock, then a lava burst, rarely using lighting bolt(Also chain lighting single target), waiting 3-5 seconds inbetween casts, for a while it would just spam nothing but lava burst, waiting for it to come off cd if it had to.

On the most part I find ShamWOW needs very little manual attention. But with the new instances specially the Deathwing fight, I find there is situations where it should be casting healing rain, I've tired to change the settings to get the bot to spam healing rain when available. But it just doesn't no matter how I change the settings. THe reason why I was thinking it might be nice to have a pause cc feature is so that you can do things like use buff food, when the raid has just wiped, or when to raid leader calls to stop healing and let everyone die. I have been clicking stop HB, but it crashes both the wow client and HB sometimes which is even worse.

With the food buff, I usually use fortune cookie.. And while they are easy enough to get, the CC doesn't care if your eating, and if someone buffs, it will start healing, even if the raid hasn't engaged the boss.etc sometimes I've used as many as 3 cookies to get my damn buff.. Raid people ask me whats going on, I just tell them I'm after the 5000g.. ROFL

Did anyone experienced weird thing in EoTS. My char moving to hotspot but then he sees somone low on health and trying to heal him, so he cast for 0.5 sec then stops and run to hotspot again. And this repeats over and over. Looks extremely suspicious tbh. I`ll post a log when i come home.
