People usually sell the RAF for 10k a month. For 2 months, that works out to a little over 2bucks...

Pre-paid cards though people ask for 30k+ .

Why is there such a huge difference? Why is the RAF cheaper?

They get free time for getting people to pay for their RAF accounts time. So they get a benefit and you get cheap wow!

I buy 1 month for 6k gold, 2 months for 10k and 3 months for 15k gold through RAF.

This Chinese woman is then selling mounts and get back double, triple if not quadruple of the gold to then sell it for IRL cash.
This is just an assumption though, i have no idea how she really does it and i dont care. 15k gold for 3 months game time? hell thats 4 hours of botting!

I honestly do not know why but I don't care. I have been paying for all 7 of the wow accounts like this for over a year imo

      You are wrong.
To earn free 1 month reward, recruited account should buy the standart edition and pay for 1 month. That costs around 28€.
They ask around 6-7K per month, with the current gold prices makes nothing. You may think they are using that accounts for botting, but thats not the case. No one needs that many accounts.

What they are doing is highly illegal, standart wow edition and 1 month is acquired with a stolen credit card so costs them nothing.
Thats why the prepaids key they gave for frozen accounts expires so fast. When the stolen card's owner appeals to payment. Prepaid key is removed.
However I dont understand why the RAF gametime stands still neither why Blizz is not taking any action against it.
Mining Bots are everywhere again - Forums - World of Warcraft "...fueled by stolen credit cards..." mentioned here.

That's what i was thinking. I know a few days ago one of my accounts was completely locked. I had to call them up and do an ID verification thingy and at the end, the dude told me it was locked because one of the gametime cards or something was recalled.

Thing that im curious about is some of these guys who sell this stuff on big forums i.e mmobay have tons of positive feedback and have been doing it for awhile now. Curious how they're doing this without getting it recalled etc. hmm

If I have a frozen account and wanted to "revive" it via RAF from a Chinese site, would I just need to get into contact with them? Or does the account actually have to be up and running for me to do RAF with them? Don't know if anyone knows or not, but thanks :)

they provide "unfreeze code" (which is basically monthly key purchased from blizz.com using stolen CC, that will be deducted from you prety soon) for extra few K's of gold or a buck depending what currency you use topurchase raf gametime.
than you activate your account using this stolen "unfreeze code" to active state, and able to do RAF stuff.

Indeed just make sure you use the prepaid code and recruit asap. Code may expire really fast sometimes.

Ah that's so nice of them! (sarcasm indeed) I recently got an account hacked after being frozen for some time and now blizz is charging me for "chargeback" because the person used a stolen credit card. I know I can dispute this and not have to pay (b/c I spoke with a blizz employee when getting my account back), but I do not know if it is worth it to use a code that I know is stolen again lol

Last night I just bought several more months of gametime for my toons but I pay via paypal not gold. I would not want to get an account banned because of a measly 36k, ya know? I only had to pay $24 for 6 months of gametime... (none of them were frozen).

Now, I've done this before on these same toons - and it's from sellers on ownedcore with 50+ PAGEs of comments, about 2/3 of which are happy customers - and I added to that for my seller. I haven't seen any reduction in gametime remaining (meaning Blizz retracted them) nor has anything happened to any of the accounts. The first time I did it, I even got an 'unfreeze code' (as previously described in one of the previous posts) and then added the RAF gametime. No issues at all.

I figure that I'll keep doing this until Blizz says something and when they do, I'll just say that it 'looked legit to me - I was just buying gametime'... since I'm not trading gold for the time, I figure the worst I would get is a suspension and have the time removed.

What surprises me is that I wasn't able to find any 'blue posts' saying that they are against ppl buying the 'cheap RAF gametime' (I searched and couldn't find it although I would say that it wasn't an exhaustive search). Anyone see anything official saying that Blizz frowns upon this practice?

I saw the one theory that all the RAF are on stolen CCs; they may not be. All they need to do is create a new account from your link using a legit payment method and they get a vanilla account with an extra month game time for the price of a key+1 month gamtime. They could then use that account or sell it.

      Just my thoughts...

Thanks Altoids, I just really don't want to deal with having to dispute another charge b/c of a stolen credit card. I still do not understand how people buy multiple months of time via RAF. Anyone care to explain that one. Oh, found your blue post :)

Thread: Trading game time for in-game gold? - Forums - World of Warcraft

post from Nevalistis: This would be considered a real world money transaction, which are indeed a violation of our policies. As Danvers indicated, that's assuming it's a fully legitimate trade to begin with. Many of these are scams.

Reporting these players would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to utilize Report Spam (similar to any other gold selling advertisement) or submit an in-game petition to do so. >^.^<

You recruit same person multiple times to get multiple months of gametime via RAF.

Probably from the same person you buying. Check the previously mentioned forums but your current RAF supplier is most likely gonna server you with that price too, try bargaining.
I usually get multiple months for multiple accounts and offer a total price for all, and ask for an extra X-53 rocket sometimes.
