Exploiting Economy Suspension [Currently: Resolved] Greetings all. So today, pretty much got a notification via email that I have my account suspended due to "Exploiting the economy". Opened a ticket, appealed stating how I don't understand why my account was suspended with this reason. I must admit that I did manage to sell a lot of my volatile fires (I have 1080 pieces of em) that I farmed legitly longg time ago for a decent amount of gold. (Totaled to be around 5K). This account just recently got it's first 85 after having it frozen since the 2010-2011 xmas sale Blizzard threw, so not sure if this triggered a red flag? Here is the form: 1.)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? - Code: GatherBuddy2 2)If so, when was the last time?: - Code: January 5, 2012 3)What profile were you using?: - Code: Uldum Custom Made Profile 4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: - 5)What plugins are you using?: - Code: Default 6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: - Code: 2 hours 6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? Code: 97.8% 7)How many auctions per day did you have?: Code: More or less 500, but average is less than that 8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? Code: None 9)Was your account involved in gold selling? Code: Nope, not stupid enough to do that. 10)EU or US realm? Code: United States **UPDATE** Got an email, pretty much unbanned it. Wasn't entirely worried as I know I didn't do anything wrong what's so ever lol. Just wondering what might have triggered the ban?
farming mats is on the radar of blizzard right now...or so it seems. having 500 auctions a day probably isn't wise either.
I got a suspention for a single auction once, put a hide up for 5000g. They said that the suspention was automatic, they were sorry, and gave me a weeks extra playtime (I had not botted one second on that acount BTW) Why did I put up 1 x rugged hide for 5k? Ethanol is the answer.
This happened to me also a few months back. The only thing I did was post a shitload (500+) auctions that very morning. The rep on the phone told me it was their "automated system" that flagged my account (of course he couldn't/wouldn't tell me why it got flagged (or didn't know)). Since then, I have made an effort to keep the number of auctions I post to no more than ~200 per day.
Hush now little one. No ban waves. Blizzard is too preoccupied trying to kiss German Law's ass to do something like that.
Yup, used this format but definitely changed some statements to deviate from copying word for word. It definitely helped and can vouch for anyone having this problem that this appeal format is effective; however, I highly suggest replacing some sentences that fits your situation. Thanks for the help, In any event ladies and gents, I would highly consider to be mindful about your botting sessions for this week and the following weeks to come. Just seems the rate of suspensions has been on it's peak for this week and Blizz has been pretty unforgiving to see any 'suspicious' activities. Just be careful guys.
While that 'email' may work, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU USE AS NOTHING MORE THAN A GUIDELINE. If you actually read it, it sounds seems like the english language isn't the individuals primary language (at least to me). One of the best things to do when fighting a ban is to use good grammar, be polite, yet a little irritable/concerned about your account and ask what it could possibly be that triggered such action. From my experience, this worked the best.
Edited for clarity. Enjoy. Dear Blizzard Associate, I wish to my dispute the action I have been wrongly accused of on the following account: PUT YOUR EMAIL HERE. It seems I have been permanently suspended due to "INSERT REASON HERE". I am not aware of any such activity on the aforementioned account, and therefore do not agree with this decision. I take this accusation very seriously, and have never took part in any illegal activity in-game. People know me. I am a legitimate player. I would never commit such an offense because I know the consequences. Please match my IP address to the time it happened, as I believe I may have been compromised and thus may be the reason it appears I have done this. Please, I implore you, investigate my account so you may see that I am telling the truth and hence deserve to be unbanned. If you require any additional information, I would be more than willing to provide it. Sincerely, PUT YOUR NAME HERE
Guys, sometimes Blizzard unbans if you ask nicely. You don't need to get hung up on the particular words. In particular "Please, I implore you," - show some self-respect and don't write stuff like that to anyone.
