ShamWOW for HB2 - An Enhance/Elemental/Resto + PVP/RaF Healbot by Bobby53

Bobby, would it be possible for you to release a shamwowcopy for the current testreleases of bgbuddy and the included improved los-api from raphus?
Would be very useful for the towers in alterac and the keeps in ioc.

 

anyone got experience with the performance of this CC running Dragon Soul as resto?

 

I wish that the other cc's were as advance as shamwow i have 3 85 shamans that i leveled using shamwow and run heroics and raids also very well programmed cc wish i could do something like this myself would give me something else to tinker with lol. I like tinkering lol.

 

This CC is simply the best Custom Class available for shaman. I would love to see more CC work from you Bobby53 as Shamwow is truly Amazing, You should Work for HB as a CC developer ( If you dont allready). Excellent Work.

 

I'm also on the same thought process as Laria, bobby. It would be nice to have a version of shamwow that supports the new los api in BGs. As it stands I'm running two versions of HB. When I want to BG I load up the test release, and when I want to do anything else I use the prior version, 5588. The only CC that takes advantage of the los improvements is Singular, which ships with HB. Singular works very well with some classes, and let's just say not so well for others.

I look forward to using ShamWoW in BGs so I can heal again.

 

Hey bobby, do you think you can make an plugin (or implement on your cc) with a logic to make Healers (or any other healer if its a plugin) flee from battle if alone, with no teammates around, or give back to the profile the control over the char so he can move to the next spot while in BG?

Sometimes my healing only shaman stays for 5 min healing himself against 1 or 2 enemies in a Bg with no allies around. He stop the profile logic because he is in combat and the CC doesn't has a code to try to run from enemies and look for allies. The normal human behavior would be to ES himself, cast a riptide, maybe a earth bind totem and them ghost wolf and run away from that enemy.

Quetion on Cooldown usage

This isn't a question just for Bobby, if anyone else knows the answer, feel free to let me know.

I usually use your CC for resto and it's amazing. Setting it up to do some elemental in LFR now and I had a quick couple of questions on cooldown usage. I tried searching for it but I didn't find what I needed exactly.

Is there a way to set the CC to use all the cooldowns but heroism/bloodlust? I would like it to throw my elemental totems for me and such but I don't want it to control heroism for me.

If it's already built in, would you mind telling me which setting it is?

Class config - raf/instances - group fight behaviours - make sure bloodlust heroism isnt checked.

Would it be possible you could lease this CC on an SVN site, so those of us that use programs like TortoiseSVN can get auto updates over the manual process of zip files? I have so many plug-ins, bots, CC's and profiles to keep up with - this would just make it easier and I am sure lots of us users would GREATLY appreciate it!

 

Can anyone give an idea of how this cc works in arena (2s, 3s, 5s) + bg?
Any rating you guys had with solo using this? What spells/tricks do you use manualy?

Zodder, Thanks for the post, but suggest you use it in Heroics and lower level raids first to become familiar with it. See the LazyRaider bot usage in #11 of ther ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE]. After running in those environments, you will be the best suited to answer the question of how it would perform for you since in Dragon Soul since LazyRaiding setups a lot depends upon the player. I'm leveling a shaman using mixed mode. My primary spec is elemental and my secondary spec is resto. I'm queuing instances as a healer and DPS. InstanceBuddy does a perfect job changing my spec from healer to DPS or DPS to healer depending on what role I get when the queue pops. However, if doesn't change the spec back to elemental after the dungeon. Are there any solutions to this problem? I don't want the character to quest when it's using a resto spec because it's very hard and slow to kill anything.

 

Anything on the CC not using malestrom procs, Bobby?

 

Particles, I suggest posting in both the InstanceBuddy thread and possibly the HonorBuddy Support Issues thread regarding your issue, providing a complete log file for a session where there was an occurrance of this. This is a general issue and not specific to Shaman. Since InstanceBuddy is changing the spec, initially it would be to be the best component to properly restore the original spec as needed. However, this can get complicated in a Mixed Bot environment if you immediately aggro some mobs or get killed upon exiting the dungeon before the spec change can occur. Another option is to have the behavior built into the Mixed Mode Bot so that on a mode switch it ensures that your previous spec is made active or it always chooses a DPS spec. I'll need to leave it to the Bot authors as to what fits their design intentions best. You may want to check in the Plug-ins to see if there is a spec management plug-in that assists with this already. Thanks and good luck with your Shaman, Bobby53
