agreed this thread is increasingly funny whilst we all wait for the update. Any news on rogue cc updates with the new bot?

 

For the questing, dealing with blacklisting quests you don't want to take. Will the quest id's be based off of wowhead ids, or a different id library. Seeing as some people have been talking allot about quest quides like zygors and what not. I have started working on working on getting together the quests that zygors says to take, and once I have all those in a neat fashion will be cross referancing with wowhead to find the quests it does not have in the guide compiled.

 

Quests will be pulled from the ingame questhelper. Not sure what method you'll use to blacklist them yet.

 

Be very careful with this. Zygor is known to push lawsuits for their guides. I suggest not even thinking about porting it over and releasing it -- or there will be bound to be a lawsuit. No kidding.

 

Doubt he can do much because someone does quests in a certain order that happens to be similar to his.
If you copied the guide, words and addon ect also then maybe, but i highly doubt just the quest order will be enough for a lawsuit.
Bot wil do them in a random order anyway, just wont pick up the blacklisted ones.
From what i gather it picks them up and does them, no real order to it, well no order you can define and control anyway.

 

With the questing feature.. Are you going to be able to make a profile so it accepts quests only at a spacific level and tell it when to turn it in ? For instance start in stv at level 30, then at 33 head to 1k needles raceway. Then send it back to stv once done with raceway.

Also is it possibile for the quest bot to be able to talk with flight masters so you can pick up the flight paths along the way.

 

I can't wait for the questing ^^ !, it should go much faster, than only do kill after kill to 80..

 

Will questing work amazing? and on the day of release will it come fully finished? from 1-80?

 

eh omg? No YOU either have to make you own questing profiles or download other peoples profiles, so if a person releases a 1-80 with questing then yes otherwise no

 

why not do it, and let tony,ski and folks put it up on the mirror list after checking thats valid?
I mean, rapidshare and stuff are capped for non-subscribers, and it would be a nice community act.

 

there is already 3 diff download links in the first release thread, and i know the one i gave, can handle around 500 mbit download speed, so i think that should be plenty.

 

Zygors is one of the worst questing guides available, a perfect example of how bad it is, it takes you to the barrens instead of ghostlands, making you do INSANE grind quests such as centaur bracers and raptor heads. IF your going to infringe a guide, you might as well do it on a decent guide.

 

You do not need anylonger to download the 30x MB file,
- Fire Up HB2 Beta4
- Create an empty folder called "Navigation" or whatever
- Chose the Mesh path to that folder

and look how HB downloads meshes on demand from our Navigation Server

 

I like this since it allows you to build checking to see if the mesh is the latest one and if not to redownload it great work.. l

Looking forward to seeing a manual on all the changes for HB2 once its stable

 

From what I've read the thing with questing is that you'll be able to tell the bot what quests NOT to do...then the bot goes and does the one he just picked up.
I don't really know if a quest guild will be used....it might optimize the leveling process a bit but not that much.
I assume certain quests that require alot of interaction and stupid gimmicks won't be bottable...or quests that involve a certain quest item that you get by combining other items won' be doable.
Other than that, hack and slash quests should be easy as pie .

I won't care....if the bot gets 80 in 7 days 24/7 that would be more then enough for me.

 

Question about questing and questing profile creation.

As standard will HB ignore Elite quests or group quests?
