Throw him up on http://shadowcraft.mmo-mumble.com set the right buffs on the settings page and compare
Maybe its all of those combined? You can get great DPS with bad gear if you gem, reforge and enchant properly get the right spec and glyphs. Never expect results without any effort!
Yeah, dummy always provide false numbers. So if ShadowCraft tells you that you should do 27.317 dps, test the CC on a actual boss and not a dummy. I'm sure you'll get pretty near 27k then.
Dummys dont provide wrong numbers ;D set the right buffs in shadowcraft and the results on the dummy should be 95% accurate
They do, and thats a proven fact. A target dummy is unreliable because it ignores execute phase mechanics, has no movement, ignores raid buffs, and can sometimes get bonus damage from aoe splash... but it is consistent. DPS numbers on raid bosses sway wildly depending on your raid buffs and fight mechanics. World of logs, recount, skada, and others all have their own way of calculating DPS so it can differ a lot here too. It's useful for learning rotations and doing tests on things like ability damage or proc rates. Only fools and idiots think a target dummy is a direct representation of their actual results in a real fight. It is a great tool to test the differences between different rotations in an ideal situation, no more and no less. - Shaddar.
You were replying to him saying that his dummy numbers were off his shadowcraft numbers, and for that, shadowcraft is about 95% accurate. And that is a proven fact. oh and btw : combat rogues have no execute, you can set shadowcraft to "ignore raid buffs" hence i told him to set it up correctly and it doesnt use movement modifiers as well. you can run your own simulationcraft for that though. i never said that me or him were trying to directly predict raid dmg numbers. he said he tried dps on a dummy and i told him to compare it to shadowcraft, which in fact should be around 95% accurate. and i'll just not get offended by your "fools and idiots" since i dont want to go on that level - Hassliebe
Update.. Removed expose armor after extensive testing in FL and DS, theoretically a dps gain, however it appears to be a dps loss Removed sprint Removed Adrenalin Rush Removed Killing Spree removed these cooldowns as its best if the player use these themselves. added TotT at FOCUSED targets, so please by all means put someone at FOCUS /Focus and youll see a dps gain. Fixed the rotation a bit
Attention! I would appreciate recieveing feedback about my CC's! For instance, what was your experience with this custom class? Does it differ from others? Whats the ups and downs? Any ideas, additions, removals or code improvements you might come to think of that will increase the performance in any of my CC's are also more then welcome! Constructive critcism is of course allowed! However there are difference between constructive criticism and destructive critcism. "I can see that Shadow Bolt has a slight delay when its being cast! However, everything else seems to work just fine." "The Shadow Bolt is slow, this is shit. You suck man.. Eventhough most of it works, shadow bolt messes everything up. I wouldnt recommend anyone to download this" If you cannot tell the difference between constructive and destructive critism, dont post at all. So which would be more useful to me? Constructive critcism is information-specific, issue-focused, and based on observations. Destructive criticism aims to destroy the target of criticism. I don't support any foreign wow client i.e Russian/French/German and so forth! The only client currently supported is the English one. You install this CC by extracting the file to your CustomClass folder inside the Honorbuddy folder. If you have any issues AT ALL upload a LOG and explain your problem, else it will be ignored.
Regarding the shadowcraft vs target dummy discussion earlier in this thread. Neither provides true raid numbers they are both simulated with the lack of movement and target swaps. Even with that said if you configure shadowcraft properly if it should place you very VERY close to what you can reach on the target dummy in the same time duration. The standard 6 minute run on shadowcraft yielded 23,596 DPS for my character with buffs configured right and on the dummy I managed to pull 22,991 DPS. Now keep is mine I am infact human and do make mistakes where shadowcraft doesn't but if you ask me that is rather close. Not to cause any offense to anyone just figured I would leave my input take it as you will.
Hi Shaddar! I really appreciate the time spent on this awesome CC, it's working great! However, my buddy just told me that if i have the daggers FEAR and VENGEANCE i should be using ASSASSINATION since i should have a sword as mainhand. So to my question, will you be doing a CC like this for Assassination ? Im asking you since you did such a great job on this one! Thanks!
Your friend is wrong, theres a reason blizzard decided to add 45% increased damage to Sinister Strike on the dagger! But if you get a hold of the 1 hand axe at last boss in DS, replace the main hand dagger with this axe. So what im trying to say is that, these daggers is as good for combat and subtley as they are for assassination.. however, assassination does less DPS in a raid compared to Combat. So use combat spec mate ref > ShadowCraft - Rogue DPS Spreadsheet
Very good CC only few minor things Could you make it so when the player changes target you cast redirect? Also change it so you don't use rupture when blade flurry is up and is it possible to only cast killing spree when BG is at 30%? Just saw it spammed Fan of Knives, massive no no. Just remove it from CC and you more dmg from the Cleave effect on BF. Another idea would be to put tricks on the tanks every time it comes off CD as many tier sets tricks give buffs
Its only using Fan of Knives if theres 6+ mobs if im not mistaken, which would in most cases do more DPS then BF! please do /FOCUS on the target you want to use TotT on, as TotT is already implemented in the CC. I'll edit the Rupture not to be used when blade flurry is up, it is indeed a dps loss! Ill look into some other things aswell.
FoK is always a dps loss, except there are ridiculous amounts of mobs... Fok should never be used in combat specc, except if you are capping energy on killing spree... Tricks on Focus is better than simply putting it on tanks... you want to give TotT to another rogue or the best dd in your raid, because no one cares about the threat anymore. It's all about the 10% damage increase you give them.
