Well its offical blizzard scans our conversations for certain words. I was setting my mate up with honorbuddy(he's just come back from a 2yr break) and cause he's a noob he mentioned honorbuddy in /w to me and within 12hrs he was banned for use of 3rd party programs. The funniest part is his laptopis having issues tryin to set up on HB and he hasnt actually been able to use the bot on the account yet. He should get it back since he hasnt touched the account with a bot yet but i thought everyone would like to know. PS im sure people has a good idea about this but now there is evidence. Cheers Incog
I agree with the word scan thing. I nearly got pwn'd by a GM for using a Fly/Wall hack app once as I was mentioning it to a friend of mine online.
yeah the word scan has been going on for a while in trade chat someone talked about gatherbuddy/hb and that's were I learned about this bot then i stated to whisp the guy and ask him for help in setting it all up I would then then tell him I'm starting the bot. and say off to use gb later least to say I tried to get my account back LOL and they said sorry we have proof you were cheating. i said well show me they responded they don't have to but chat logs are very handy I was like FML. after that. ever since i have friends that know i bot and we use a code word LOL i know kinda lame but they know what i mean when i say it that why there not whisp me and me not responding. so far so good new acc and nothing crosses fingers.
I almost did say honorbuddy but then I thought that it would give me away... funny how my friend a few years ago said I was botting and nothing did happen... I guess they have a grudge against honorbuddy ^^.
Some people are idiots though. I was in sw about 2 hrs ago and a guy talking on the trade channel was asking if anyone could help him setup his bot to heal for him. Thats the first time ive seen anyone mention a bot though
Or maybe they were talking about "Healbot" which is a WoW Addon, but you're too n00b to understand it.
Yeah i thought that at first till he mentioned honorbuddy by name. But thanks for the reply. Hope your not to much of a noob to understand this?

honorbuddy is a known scanned for word, bot i don't think is although a person i know called me a bot and said not to worry cos blizzard doesnt care for words... I think its something to do with the fact that if Bossland setup 100 trial accounts, he could then advertise his program in-game which would greatly increase his revenue. Maybe
i doubt they look for words, since you could have a friend you pvp with and be like "Hes my Honor Buddy!" they are common words. as for bossland advertising in game, no one likes spam, and there's no need to do it. if someone made a plugin that spams it would be removed from the forums. we dont like things like spam, and hacks, so why would we do it?
Yeah... the Bastion of Twilight raid would be enough of a reason for them not to scan for bot in chats. Obviously that doesn't mean if you were suspected of something and you talked about bot they couldn't see it, but I can't imagine it'd flag. There's no way. Now Honorbuddy being flagged makes much more sense.
