      thats not fully correct, because hardware IDs were collected by wow.exe which then runs on the same machine as the other wow processes, so vpn does nothing but ip change.

      @thang78 :
      iam interested in what youre doing next, because iam in kind a same situation as you. blizz implemented new checks, especially for the AH and this is what kills your existing business. i was working the last few days to figure what kind of scans they perform, but went to an dead end, because my "PLZ BAN ME ACC!" still runs, and the other, more camouflaged AH Bot was banned. your company seems to be larger than mine, so for you its more urgent what do to next. plz share your thoughts

      All perm bans according to emails.. All individual bnet accounts and the decision is final regardless of my argument that all hadnt been used since november 2011. All other gb/hb accounts are still working, if hb/gb was detected theyd of gone too. So im stopping farming for a while but will still lvl/quest etc with hb.
      Still have 11 active accounts and a pile of full cdkeys so will lvl and sell accounts for xtra income for now.
      I can only assume something suspicious regarding pirox deal.. Total guess mind you.

      i have 3 bots running now for test purpose just to see how long it will take until they get banned. they are full s11 and i gonna let them bot less hours a day, to see if that matters. to be honest i have no idea what to do next. i let the bots run just to see if it was a "banwaves" and if so, if the wave is over. if it's a new script they should be going down very fast. but this is just my own theory. i dunno what to do next like most of us.

      I doubt that they got any new scripts, they dont have to, because players who report botters are doing this job 100 times better thatn any script could have. All what blizzard have to do is just listen to those report, and check other accounts on same ip/hardware ID as caught botter. And we can declare botting for monney officialy over in WoW.

      I am doing exactly the same thing as Thang78. Messing around with different bots, different session lengths etc. We'll see where that will take us. To tell the truth, if it's over, it's over for everyone and there is no point in keeping the accounts anyway, if I achieve something out of this then it wasn't a complete waste of time, so in all this confusion I find this to be the only thing I actually can do. I understand that they could implement new scripts and everything but the easiest and most effective way to remove massive botters would be to simply check on player reports, if the accused character is really a bot then simply check all the other characters from the same IP/Mac address thus making a large blow at the botter. It does require more manpower but still you must admit it is efficient. If they keep the pressure, they will eradicate all the big players. Nobody can keep up with the bans and losses they would cause at this scale.

      Ok this is weird now, few days ago i got ban at one acc, i send ticked and they removed ban(not even temp susp) nothing, and today, i started to lvl herb mining, at other lvl 85 char at same account, different realm and all-i was botting for 4-5 hours, and was looking half of time, nothing happened, no one w/me or anything strange with bot. I tried to log in at evening, and got: Type of Violation: Exploitation
      Category of Violation: Third Party Program Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension - for char who i got same ban few days ago! o_O

      well, it's not (only) the IP they check. i believe, when they suspect something on a account, they check which other account is on the same OS, processor, mac-adress, or anything else that is unique to one PC.

      Blizzard itself wrote me in a ban email:

      This may be not THE key, but one key to their measurements.

      I have several accounts botting(all on same PC) and just only one got hit with 72h temp ban. So i dont think they always check the IPs or i got just lucky (my IP changes each 15min or so)

      yep, hehe.. i started with 4999 Gold trade (not 5k, this would be to obvious!1), and years later i trade 200, even 300k without any doubts. cool time.. too sad its over for now

      blizzard became really aggressive. not only in world of warcraft. in starcraft II they hunt down hackers by scaring them with something i dont know. all you see is "in respect of blizzard i removed all my programs.. blabla"

      Wrong. If they clearly state that they will scan your whole computer, you agree to be bound to it by clicking either accept, or by playing the game. No matter what the law is - you agreed on it. Don't like it? Don't play the game.

      I think I remember some kind of lawsuit about this, where it was stated that blizzard is not allowed to scan your entire computer.
      You've studied law or are you just saying stuff here?
