Extender, extends HB functionality (answers whispers, ...)!

Hi everyone,

the Extender plug-in will have many features. The first one I am adding is answering whispers. As it is my first plug-in for HB, it needs to be tested. Please report any bugs.

- whisper functionality -

* answers configurable messages
* includes customization form
* plays sound on whispers
* writes into HB log

- whisper configuration -

You have to use at least HB version 1.958.
Everything else should be obvious.



- Update 2.1.0.0 -
* let's say huge code clean up

- Update 2.0.0.0 -
* works now
* plays cool sound on whisper
* waits before answering whisper (simulates typing)

- Update 1.0.0.1 -
* removed answering own whispers

- Update 1.0.1.0 -
* removed all known bugs
(if you have problems restart WoW and HB and try again before posting for help)

- Update 1.0.2.0 -
* plug-in compiles however chat events are not fired (seems to be HB API issue)

- Update 1.0.3.0 -
* seems to work fine with HB 1.247, Lua.DoString("SendChatMessage ..."); is now used for answering whispers
* now plays a windows beep on whisper

- Known Issues -
* the API provided by HB has problems with unicode so whispering back to chars with unicode names is not possible

great, probably needs a couple more messages per tell, a way for it not to repeat messages over and over, blacklisting people would be cool, saving /tell's in a log file would be great to, otherwise, wow great 1st plugin.

 

Nice! Does it have a delay feature, so the /w doesn?t pop up right after you are whispered?

Doesn't work here. I configured a few answers and made sure the enabled checkbox is marked.

When I whisper the bot with any of the keywords it never responds.

HB 1.23.1
German Windows 7 (32 bit)
Englisch (USA) - US keyboard layout
Englisch (USA) - Formats

Did you hit the save button after editing settings?
Are the new setting in place after reopening the configuration form?

... no response from Extender... after getting this whisper (and instance is on of the three keywords, that are still defined (I only edited the answers).

Maybe this could save you some time: make it so it can read the file format that's in my attachment.

That would be awesome and would save you some time aswell .

 

Should be fixed with the newest release. If you whisper yourself there is no answer from Extender.

I have to look into this when I get back home. Would be interesting to know the names of your toons. Maybe it's some ASCII/UNICODE issue.

Others experiencing this too?

the wordlist is from the pirox-community
from znfk whispermachine i think ^^

 

tested this plugin now..
after 15 min botting i got a whisper from another player.. the told me to join a guild..
and the plugin answered with a spam.. ^^
look into the log.txt!

 

K, I was able to reproduce the bugs. I'll fix it until tomorrow.

 

No, all my char names have no special characters in their names. E.g.: Avalia, Betoria, etc.
