Druid - because of flight form, no need to keep mounting.

Druids hands down. Instant mounting, and no dismount on herbs.

      Feral druids ftw.

Druid/DK/Pally are all excellent choices for just herbs it has to be a Druid though.

mages, they make their own food and water, they have ice barrier, chances are most mobs wont break it, frost elemental helps with dps and keeps the mob away from you. 99% of the time you wont take damage at all, there are tons to ways to save and regen mana without eating (most of the time my mage never eats) and high dps output. as well as being able to silence (counter spell) and steal buffs, its a no brainier, not only that, but you could take advantage of the extra ports, to get anywhere quickly.

I use unholy DKs for farming. Why?

      1) 20% speed buff
      2) Plate user - Virtually never dies
      3) Strong pet - Will kill mobs if bot gets stuck and can't reach the mob (happens sometimes)
      4) Can be spec'ed for tank (blood) when MoP releases, as new areas will be somehow challenging for bots, and make you get gold sooner than other bots, farming new areas where a druid (squishy) would not survive multiple mobs.
      5) They come pre-levelled at level 58, meaning you can virtually start a insta-farming (day one) as soon as they hit 60, and just finish levelling farming to 85 (fel iron at 60, cobalt at 68, saronite at 73, and finally obsidium at 80)

Second choicce would be BM Hunter, with a CC that enables me disabling disengage (like FPSware hunter):

      1) Strong pet, it almost kills mobs plays by itself even without the bot

All others seem to be the same for me. Pala is good for the speed buff too, but melees sometimes get stuck (huts, spikes, etc) and are killed by ranged mobs. Druid is fine for herbs, but as it has no speed buff, DK still keeps getting better results overall unless you are doing insane herb farming with no mining (what would not be that much productive).

If you plan on herbing alot then I'd go for a tuaren druid for sure,
Faster Herbing + No dismount = Herb Heavin IMO

I agree with Codename besides the fact that there aren't many good mage CCs for farming...Amplify uses blink and often times will blink into a cliff or into more mobs.

It really is one of the never ending questions, but my 2 cents is that i have had to most success botting Paladins, Warriors and Hunters. Quite self explanatory with Paladins as they can self heal and hit pretty hard, Warrior just take bugger all damage (Botting in Prot) and Hunters have the pet usability.

Now that gear has scaled a lot, unholy DK can handle everything and kills stuff faster, Back the old days, when bots used to die at mobs, probably blood DK would be better
