If you google Honorbuddy and click the forums it takes you to that site and says "Resource is missing File with specified ID not found. It may have been removed for breaking the rules."

Still happens to me. If you google Honorbuddy the second result to the forum will redirect you somewhere else. Does this every time for me. I am on a 100% free of malware/addons/etc. But if i choose the first option, to the main page it works fine.

Typing "Honorbuddy Vasj'ir" in to Google search, going to second in list and clicking "[GB2] VASHJ'IR - Gathering profiles! - Page 21‎ - 22 Feb 2012" gave me FileStore123.info - Your File Hosting

In fact this is the third time I've had this in the last 6 hours whilst prowling for Vashj'ir Profiles.

      Sorry.

If I recall correct, this was a vulnerability/exploit/Injection in VBulletin. I haven't seen this in a while but is related on people not been loogged in and login redirection. This was only affecting VB CMS edition.

I have on bookmarks thebuddyforum.com/forum.php because everytime the home page says I am not login when I am actually logged in.

      Hi,

Another user that experienced this. I was seeing this randomly on both my OSX and Windows machines here when googling 'honor buddy forums' and clicking the second link on the list. Interesting that you mention VB exploit as I have other bookmarks to VB based forums and when I was clicking those earlier today I was getting redirects to some more interesting sites... I cleaned out my cookies and haven't seen it since. I'll be keeping a closer eye on this one.

This actually seems to be getting worse. I'm certainly seeing it more often now than I did before last weekend.

nothing should be redirecting you when clicking on normal threads. i certainly haven't gotten anything. if you can, maybe try reformating your machine, see if that make a difference, sounds like there's something going on that shouldn't be going on, but it isnt with the site. im on here all day, every day, and ive never had it redirect me. ill ask tony/bossland when they get up to see if theres any change, but it seems like (to me) that it has to be at the client level.

      Yes.

I have my own google page as a homepage with all the gadgets I want. Bookmarks, news & Formula one. Honorbuddy is one of my book marks. Every time I open my browser and click on my Honorbuddy link I'm redirected without exception now.

Also if I google anything I'm invariably redirected the first time I click the link.

This is a factory default Default XPS with the latest microsoft updates and Mcafee installed. Absolutely nothing else.

It does seem worse now that it did when I first mentioned it. And using different machines and OS (I use linux on 2 old laptops) and the problem remains on all of my machines.

You have a rootkit. Download TDSSKiller by Kapersky(it's free) and it will remove it within about a minute.

      • Download the TDSSKiller.zip archive and extract it into a folder on the infected (or possibly infected) computer with an archiver (WinZip, for example);
Run that and let it remove everything it finds.

No I don't have a root kit. It would have to infect multiple platforms and operating systems and that's just not a possibility.

Hover over your bookmark and down at the bottom of your browser you will see the link that it goes to, what is that link if you can screen shot it?
