ShamWOW for HB2 - An Enhance/Elemental/Resto + PVP/RaF Healbot by Bobby53

Quick glance at the code explaining my problems and I find a few issues already.

MoveToHealTarget has 2 issues, it ignores LOS, MoveToUnit will check for spell LOS while MoveToHealTarget will issue a stop when distance is reached but LOS isn't. It also won't start moving unless you're out of range, there are no LOS checks intially.

Also it stops the unit if the target has went more then 100 yards away, however MoveToUnit is called before any range checks are done for 100 yards, creating another stop/start behavior.

 

andy012345, Thanks for the feedback, but MoveToHealTarget does check LoS and also does start moving if out of LoS. I appreciate your post, but an issue post as described in ShamWOW Frequently Asked Questions [CLICK HERE] would be more useful than a quick assessment of an isolated portion of code. In the FAQ you will find a template to describe the symptoms you are experiencing, a place to provide the exact local system time you witnessed the issue, and steps for attaching a complete debug log file. Maybe im doing something wrong, but for whatever reason my settings are never saved. it says in The HB that they are but then when i go back into the CC the changes I made are not saved. Any thoughts, ideas? I tried to read the the pages to see if anyone else had a similar problem but no luck. Thanks

 

for some reason this class always rolls greed on loot. i have no idea why.

i have no plugins or addons that manage loot. i delete autoequip2 entirely.

no other custom CC or class does this, but with shamWOW, all my shamans roll for loot for whatever reason. i dont know why

I currently Raide ds 10ner because I usually play more ele shamie, I do not have much foreboding heal things.
I assume this task, but now I've downloaded this class cc.
Unfortunately, I'm with the standarts settings always on space 3 (10ner) with a lousy hps.
can you give me good settings so the runs a little better?

First Question: Did you use the Button "Raid Healing" on the Tap Group Healing?

If yes: Take also a look at the Overheal .
ShamWOW only heals if he has to. So if someone is flaming you, just post the overheal and say:
"Hey, why should I put my Mana in the Trash can, just to be place 1 in a stupid List?"
If you want to produce more heal and overheal, you could use the Button "RAF Healing Rain Spec" on the Tap Group Healing Tap.
But then you also need the Manareg-Gear to "spam" Healing Rain .

Overheal looks verry nice

But the tank dies and the shaman is not in a position to heal the tank fast enough I think I maybe a little something must change.
if the tank dies I'm to blame, but then my raid lead doesnt interest Overheal

 

Set healing strategy to tanks then instead of auto and see if that helps.

When I test settings I just go to a LFR. Specially as a healer you get quick queues. Just do a boss and leave the group, since you've looted it anyways.
Better to wipe a LFR than a guildrun normal or heroic DS.

 

Doesnt seem to be working today after the hb update?

Settings are written to the config file as soon as you click the Save button, so provide the log file as mentioned and I should be able to assist you. You may also want to check that you are using the latest downloaded version and not the obsolete version that is bundled with HB.

Glad it is working well in general for you, but to assist further I'll definitely need at least a complete debug log file as well as a brief description of what encounter it was for ( name, 5/10/25, Heroic, etc.)

Hey Bobby.

I have tested my shamman the last few days and i keep running into this problem

HonorBuddy Mode: Lazyraider
Shamans Location: Grim Batol
What should have happened (be specific): The shaman should have casted a normal spell rotation, instead of just spamming chain lighting
What did happen (be specific): My shammy just spammed chain lighting, and goes oom in 10 secs
System time of issue (log time stamp): 18:50 + 18:55 + 18:59 + 19:12

My shamman starts to spam chain lighting when there is more than 1 mob.. i think this is a problem, coz it run oom in like 10 sec.. Even in a boss fight, if a boss summon adds, the shammy starts to spam chain lighting, and run oom, and cant continue to dps the boss coz of the mana.

A fight against the boss - Mannoroth in Well Of Eternity, my shammy can dps like 1 min, coz the boss summons adds, and the im oom.

Maybe an option for us to set on how many adds there should be before the shammy cast Chain Lighting, would be great

 

Sounds like a couple things are needed. The only way to address a situation where you want to stay with single target DPS where multiple targets are present and should typically kick in the AoE prioritization is an option. I am not in favor of options that have to be changed for each encounter, and specifying the number adds would. A simpler choice which wouldn't require flipping between boss and trash is an option to choose to remain with a single target rotation if a boss is present so at least it would maintain an AoE rotation on trash. I'll also review mana management and the point it should switch to single target based upon available mana. Will look at your log in detail when I get home tonight and follow up. I am having problems

HonorBuddy Mode: Lazyraider
Shamans Location: DS Wymrest Temple
What should have happened (be specific): It should have healed using healing rain raid spec button.
What did happen (be specific): Continually casting riptide, no healing rain, or chain heals cast that i could see.
Computer time of problem (local time, not realm time): approx 0305-0311? Log file starts when i started the instance.

Not sure if its me, fresh install of HB with only shamwow installed, everything else except refreshment detection and bug submitter, turned off or not existent. Healing spec on shaman using the teluric currents spec mentioned previously. Tried changing chain heal to 100% no effect, changed both that and healing rain to higher levels, no effect. Raid shows people were losing health, but i am no computer wizz and i cant work out what the logs are trying to tell me so some help is needed.

was just wondering if we are gonna see a fix for some of the issues that we brought to your attention... Haven't heard anything back from you for a while.. Don't want those issues to get lost overtime..

I've already talked this over with Bobby since I had the same issue.
It has to do with the 2piece T12 bonus (it's casting rolling tiptides due to that).
Fix will be provided in the next release Bobby has assured me since he managed to replicate the issue ^^

Hey, maybe this isnt the right place. But I was just wondering if theres a tutorial or something on how to install this, i tried the way its said in this thread but im not very good at hb and havnt been using it alot. Thx

 

Just started using this CC last night. It was running my toon really well, even for being extremely undergeared for PvP.

Only problem I was having with it was Water Walking being spam cast and would recast when someone clicked it off. I had someone in a BG continuously taking it off and my toon would just recast over and over again. Which isnt a big deal since I planned on turning that option off anyways. I went into the Config menu unchecked the box, but it wouldnt save the setting. I tried it while the bot was running when it was stopped i even restarted HB and tried it both ways again and the option just wouldnt stay unchecked after saving.

If you need a log I'll run another BG and save the log from it when I get home from work.
