During combat with adds it will target (and aggro/pull) a mob NOT in combat with the character - resulting in more adds. This happened 4-5 times in a row while in EPL.
For me it runs with raidbot too problem is that it feels very jittery as opposed to cc's with some optimization for it , it feels like i'm playing at 5 fps or so heh
HAHAHAHHAHAH, aye, that you did I realised after I posted that I performed a fresh install of HB, no logs.
I'm still alive. There are really two of us who use this forum account and make adjustments. I'm still here and actively raiding, but have had less time to devote to making changes. The other dev is more active on the forum but hasn't been playing wow lately. I've recently started a new job which has required a lot of attention and am in the middle of planning a wedding for June. I'm will to make updates to this, but need some help organizing a "product backlog". Knowing which items are critical vs "nice to have" is a bonus as well as a priority. If someone wants to take charge and compile a list for me. I will commit to making the changes. Dev 1
The first quarter of the year is especially busy for me, and I've been working 10-12+ hour days for the last month or so. As I'm basically abstaining from the game until Pandas, (and at that time this will probably need a significant overhaul anyway) I'll leave any changes that require a decent amount of testing (like enhancements for whatever raidbot is) for "Dev 1." Minor changes (e.g. "Mind Blast belongs here now") and general support issues (i.e. the next 6 people that can't get the GUI to load) I'll try to pick up here and there as I see them. - Dev 2
The problem is that the CC isn't optimized for raidbot. Many CCs don't work at all under raidbot if they aren't, so good news there. However, as you point out, raidbot does take a rather heavy toll on your fps in-game, especially if the CC isn't optimized for it. I'm not entirely sure what is entailed in the optimization or if the devs have the time to do it. One thing you can try though is to disable some or all of your addons to try to get a fps increase so you're at a higher starting point before raidbot kicks in, and hopefully it won't seem so laggy.
Given the amount of calls we do, rewriting this CC for Raidbot might be a pain in the ass. I'll do some more poking around but the CPU usage this CC would require to run under raidbot might be a little bit difficult. Those that have tried it, are you doing so with targeting and multi-dotting enabled or disabled? (The Mind Sear logic is also probably a nightmare for something like this.) What kind of CPU load do you see on Raidbot vs. LazyRaider? I'm considering a couple of options here as I don't want to say "Blah... use LazyRaider instead" because that basically trounces on our design goals. We built this for the purpose of high-end raiding and then added some of the other fluff and non-raiding-type features later (primarily for our own convenience when playing the game). Quite simply, Raidbot looks like it is the best way to get high-end performance out of this thing. So.... we're considering a couple of paths: - Deprecate this version, and build something designed to run in RaidBot - Create a "Raidbot mode" with a limited feature set. - Super, duper secret Path No. 3* *This isn't really that much of a secret, but I don't really want to say anything until I check on the status of something.
I don't use targeting logic at all, I do it manually, so I couldn't tell you. Also, my cpu load doesn't really vary but a % or 2, which is within normal usage variation between the 2, but my machine is pretty much overkill in every department right now as I just built it. Any changes you make to the CC, I'm willing to test as always.
Using HB in general cuts the frame rate anyway, especially since wow is so CPU intensive. Raidbot simply exacerbates the problem by forcing the CC to run at a pre-determined frame rate without regard to whether or not your system can keep up. CCs that aren't optimized for raidbot makes your system take an extra hit. One thing I'm not sure on is how much less the frame rate hit is once the CC is optimized.
Searching the thread did me no well. I was in LFR the other day, and pulled on average about 11-12k. I saw it auto-targeting characters quite a bit, is this for the experimental dispel/purge? If so, what file would I go into to comment that out?
I have a pretty good idea of what you have in mind (per the discussion we had a few months back), Apoc. That's what I'm leaning towards, but I don't want to commit to anything until I have enough time to see it through.
