I am very upset. This is my main account, and I had 10x lvl 85 on it, have this account since BC...

I appealed, let's see what happens.

 

You touched a node someone else wanted and they reported you.. you might have bumped into a tree or building for a GM to "confirm" this action.

Generic crap.. Should get it back

 

That is why the first rule is "Never bot on your main account" followed by "Never bot on accounts which don't you want to lose"

If you reported it that quickly there's still a chance.

I got the same email and was quite upset as well, thought my account was gone for good. I appealed and got an email later saying nothing was done to my account (i.e. it wasn't hacked).

So I called them later and said "Hi, my account got hacked and I got an email saying everything was okay but I still can't log in". The lady said they were probably still doing an investigation (bs. the email said they already finished) and would unlock it soon, and that she'd send them a notification/reminder.

Very soon after the call, I had my account restored.

Considering they send you this cause every time now and only when you appeal, they say you botted etc., i dont think he is wrong.

 

Nah I got this same exact thing when Cata first came out when I was node farming Uld and I didnt have a bot yet.

 

a friend of mine got banned the same way but he wasn't botting... he was selling a lot to buy the spectral tiger on his other account "before the accounts merging" he transfered "mailed" the gold and got banned.... sad for him not real world trading nor botting . two weeks later he got it back after appealing and saying that both accounts are his and after he got them , he sold them and quitted wow.

 

I got a ban cos of Economy Abuse too yesterday and i never traded gold with this account. I just wrote a ticket and they unbanned me after 10 Minutes. Its an automated ban by their scripts. My ban was triggered by sending all my leather and cloth to another account while botting. Just write a Ticket and say you never traded gold and you will get you account back for sure!

Well this is why you always should use a proxy when botting. If you got a proxy then it just as simple as saying u got hacked.

 

Well they can just check your MAC address, can't they?

 

I really dont see how that would work.
If you've been botting 24/7 or something for months, then you can't come and say you got banned.
Because you'd pretty much have contacted them much earlier

 

Maybe if you read the forums more often you'd realize that getting this email doesn't mean you didn't get banned for botting.

If it's the first offense, you'll get it back Zuabros, and they will send you the standard "read the ToS email".

But yeah... I stay clear of farming on my main account.
On my main toon's account I just do stuff like general shuffling, questing and lazy raider. Nothing that would get me reported.
Then I have a vanilla account on that BNET account that I run my AH bot on (never had a problem with these accounts), then do my farming on sepparate BNET accounts.

Hopefully I will get it back, and won't farm on main account "too much" anymore.

And flooding HB foruns with nice profiles to spread the word "botting" will be my sweet revenge hahaha....

Saying "don't bot you main account" is a bit impossible to me, as after 1 year of botting I barely know how to play anymore.... SPecially after "lazy rider" beginning, I don't even have macros or key bindings for the spells ... rofl.... All I do is using the ASDW keys to move my chars...

I can say that the most complex way of playing that I do "by hand" is doing arena with my pala healer.

Of course it is "ultimate paladin healer behavior etc" thing botted.... But I do move the char around the arenas! And I also must "HoJ" by hand...

Things like "ShamWow" + "lazyrider" just make you think: "Why play by hand if a ?%@%@?#%?@ bot can do the job effortless and almost with the same efficience?

Botting raid finder is really ridiculous. I just put the "follow tank" thing on, and get back to loot things ...

well, thats the life of a botter.

 

As long as you don't farm, you should be pretty safe .

Gonna be more cautions while botting main account.
