the plugin by itself it not particularly useful. it is designed to be used in combination with a monitoring program that would originally work for MMOGlider, namely JGlideMon.

try the zip instead. make sure you have the latest version of java installed (Java SE Runtime Environment 7u3 Downloads). you should be able to double click the .jar file to run it if java is properly installed.

if norton gives any sort of report about why it's deleting it i would be interested to know. the exe is simply an installer created with NSIS (NSIS Wiki) which is widely used.

      I downloaded this ^

Then i downloaded the .zip file (JGlideMon_v1.0.348_core.zip - jglidemon - JGlideMon v1.0 Core Zip - Java-based Remote Monitor for MMOGlider - Google Project Hosting), And everything worked!

Norton will only delete the .exe file, but the .jar file from the zipped one was fine =d (for me)

I hope it will work for ya!

      Cheers!

Amazing. Amazing work, my only gripe so far is that it wont display realid whispers in chat, other then that flawless.

You need to know the ip address of the computer you have JGlideMon running on. Then browse to "http://a.b.c.d:port" where a.b.c.d is the ip address.

If you want to access the website from outside your house you need to set up port forwarding and know your external ip address. I will not help you with this, use Google. See Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model - PortForward.com

If you're up to it, you can set up a dynamic domain service so you don't have to remember your external ip address. See No-IP? Free - Free Dynamic DNS - DDNS

My god I've been missing this! Thank you so much for reworking this project. Remember it very well from the "Glider" days.
Everything works fine for me, even the whispering and all (just had to start out the whisper with the "raw" function, then I was able to type to my friends using the /w name text).
Got the web monitor working as well! Though when I try to access it from my android webbrowser I can see the menu, but I can't access any links (when I click on status it just turns green and doesn't do anything).
      Keep up the good work!

*Update I can actually access the menus by adding #status in the address bar, but the links doesn't work I have to type the address manually.

Wow! Where has this plugin been all my life!? It's amazing! I'm really stunned to see how powerful and feature-complete this is.
It gives me everything i need, and presents it in a perfect way for me. :)
And since the monitor is written in java, the program runs on both my mac and my pc. And the webbrowser client seems just as powerful.

      Thanks alot, timglide! :)

I may have to redo the mobile version at some point for wider device support. I'm using the jQTouch library (jQTouch — Zepto/jQuery plugin for mobile web development) which is pretty slick on the iphone but is targeted at webkit based browsers.

onero, does the regular whisper feature not work for you forcing you to use the raw chat? It seems fine for me.

      Hey timglide.
Sounds really good with the future improvement for android and alike.
The standard whisper didn't work all to well for me, might have been a battle.net friend issue? Have heard of this problem before, but have no idea. Yes that was the main purpose that I used the raw function.

Oh it was a RealID whisper, not a "regular" whisper? That would make a lot more sense. I don't use RealID myself so haven't been able to test it.

How does it works on multiple bot sessions?
If i will activate it on an second bot it says me that the port is already used. If i change the port at the first bot, the same error. Than HB is crashing.

Since I only have one session to test with, I'm not exactly sure how HB works in that regard. If you have two different folders with two completely separate HB installations you should be able to set the port for each one (though you may have to open one HB instance and change the port before opening the second HB).

If it still crashes HB when trying to change the port, you can manually set it in Plugins\GliderRemoteCompat\GliderRemoteCompat.config when HB is not running. I know changing the port is a bit buggy.

If you run multiple HB sessions from the same folder (if that's how it works), I don't think you'll be able to change the port.

Im assuming you have a wireless connection and Windows 7. If so, this....

      Find your I.P address...
Start, cmd, ipconfig, Look for something like IPv4 Address. That is your I.P that you will need.
Open JGLIDEMON V1.O. which you should have already downloaded.
Go to file then config then web remember that port.
Now click on the server tab. Local host will be the user name and leave password blank unless you put one in when you go to your iphone.
How go to your iphone open up Safari and in the browser input http://I.P address:32xx which is your port. Should look something like this....
http://123.456.7.8:3206. The numbers before the colon are your I.P and the numbers after is the port that is in JGLIDEMON V1.0.
If your connected it will ask for a host name or user name. Put in Local Host and for password, leave it blank unless you put in a password.

I am curious though if there is a way to receive a text if you get whispered or maybe an email?
