EU Got a ban and the second I got it I got it I opened a ticket and told them that I was literally just farming in Uldum and got a ban. Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy They changed it to a 72hour suspension after I opened a ticket. They said: After reviewing the recent Ban of your account, we found the evidence presented to be correct. However, as this is the first instance of this happening on your account, we have changed the Ban to a Suspension. I have had previous suspensions. Well thats all really ^^ Would it be safe to continue botting? Any suggestions? Do they see the IP of your router as in the IP that your internet provider attaches to you or is it the individual computers IP they see? Thanks in advance!
Also, stop using profiles that are insanely overused; especially in Uldum, major hotspot for banning activity.
alright man i came here for suggestions and not abuse i am still pretty new to this so give me a break please. I learned from this mistake and wont be stupid like so anymore but i cam here for suggestions on if they will be watching my account and if its safe to bot after a recent ban etc.
lol man, wtf is up with your uldum scare thing. Ban spots, lmao, the only reason you get a ban by farming is being reported by players. Im botting there 24/7 on 5 chars and nothing happened, and yes, im using the friggin overused profiles.
I would recommend farming older ores and stuff. On my realm at least Fel Iron Ore, Saronite ore etc sell for about the same price as the Uldum stuff (sometimes more sometimes less) and are less people farming (less farmers=less comptition which also means less ban risk)
So your foolish (botting 24/7 in Uldum) and lucky so far... and your point is? Just because you're fishing for a ban doesn't mean you should suggest that tactic to others, ya know?
This.... I started doing this about a month ago when prices started drasticly dropping again. Cobalt and fel are huge on my realm
I apologize if I've come off as harsh, you asked for suggestions so I gave you information I feel to be useful. Overused profiles tend to produce conga lines of bots if enough people on the same realm are using the same one, also reading the bans section every other day or so gives you a good insight as to what is getting people caught and where. I avoid botting in Uldum except for questing due to the great number of people who have been nailed there, regardless of whether or not they lied in their report about the time they spent there per session. It just feels too risky so I don't do it, and I just shrug at each ban report that is posted and the OP says they were botting in Uldum. I have personally only been banned twice since I started botting in Burning Crusade, once way back when Pirox first released their Archbot. I used it even though it was quite obvious that it was a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode a banhammer all over my face. The second time was once again my own fault, a guildmate offered to buy me a new headset in exchange for gold so I let a multi-profile with an AH function run 24/7 for an entire weekend, I farmed 160k in a weekend but also lost my account. As for your request of information on whether or not you should hang back from botting for a bit, I cant give you a definite answer on that. The last time I was banned I was given a weekend to get a toon back up to raid ready before they found a replacement, I made a new account, RaFed it to another and botted immediately. Others may tell you to relax for a little while so any heat on your IP may dissipate. I don't believe anyone can give you a definite answer because I don't think anyone here has any information on the inner workings of the account administration department, so the best we can say is do things at your own discretion.
Thats ok. I know myself it was a stupid move to pretty much bot Uldum 24/7 on some occasions :/ but ive learned my lesson and am only gonna bot now when i absolutely have to, at least for a while taking a new approach to gold making ^^ with the starting capital ive built from farming im gonna invest into the AH and try get my monies worth out of it Thanks for your suggestions btw I appreciate it
