      Hello all.

I'm currently leveling a rouge, and I'm using the Fpsware Rouge CC. But it's kinda buggy for me, alot of .NET problems when I use the class config - so I'm wondering if there's any other CC that will work better?

All suggestions are more than welcome :)

      P.S. Currently lvl 30 btw.

Yes, the latest version of Singular features a drastically improved Rogue logic and is probably the best one around for Rogue leveling overall. Most of FPSWare's CC's, including the Rogue one are terribly outdated and unsupported, as he is working to replace them with his latest and greatest all-in-one Unity CC.

You should also give PVPRogue a try for Battlegrounds and if you need to kill some tough elite mob, although you should avoid it for general leveling as it does not stop to eat or drink and you will die a lot due to that.

TL;DR - Singular for leveling and PVPRogue for Battlegrounds and killing Elites.

MutaRaidBT supports levelling as both assassination and combat right now, I'd suggest giving it a go if you're interested in either of those two specs. You can find the link in my signature below. :)

Best leveling spec for Rogues is Sub, and with full heirlooms you become almost invincible from 1-80. Talented has a leveling Sub template, so use that one.

Hey. Thanks for the tip on MutaRaidBT - it works great for leveling!

But 1 question, I've noticed that fairly often the CC will Cheap Shot a mob, and then keep on running towards a quest turn in.

It looks like it "loses" the aggro on the mob after cheap shot - but when the 4 sec stun is over, it will return and attack normally. Kinda wastes the stealth - cheap shot opener combo :)
Is there some tweaks I could do to "tune" the CC ?

      Cheers!

I see from your post count that you are probably very new to this, so here is how things are.

      1. When you bot, you use the stuff your bot works best with, which may be, and indeed, most of the time will be different than the stuff you love or consider optimal for the situation or task at hand, if you were doing it manually.

      2. Most Custom Classes are sub-optimal in many regards. You will simply have to learn to live with this, because it's very hard to make a perfect leveling Custom Class, mainly because the game changes too fast and developers are already overloaded with work. What you should look for in a Custom Class is survivability and overall behavior - your character should stay alive most of the time, kill mobs, get the job done and move on, without doing blatantly stupid stuff, which will give out your little secret.

      3. Stick with what you got. Currently, Singular is the most up-to-date, dedicated to leveling custom class, and subtlety is the spec the Buddies around are working on the most, which means even if it is technically inferior to other specs, you will get better results with it, because it is best supported.

You can't just "tune up" the CC without messing with the code, and this would require C# and LUA knowledge. There are some guides on the forums, but you would be better off just trying out another CC, or you risk wasting the time you wanted to save by botting on learning LUA and C# just to change a bunch of settings.

Could you pop over to the MutaRaidBT thread and post a log there? :) I haven't encountered this issue personally but I'll have a look into it for you once you do. Cheers!

I really have to disagree here. Subtlety is the /least/ support spec of all three specs in the current developmental landscape -- Singular might support it but Singular isn't the be-all and end-all of Custom Classes, and in fact there are better alternatives out there already. Trying to scare new users away from trying new things really isn't cool and isn't helping one bit!

Let's try and keep the misinformation here to a minimum... Kronz has made some good points about what to look for in a good leveling CC but the only way you're going to find your 'optimal setup', in regards to talent spec and choice of CC, is to experiment with different ones to find the combination that best suits your needs.

All CCs are different, some fall down where others triumph, it is really a matter of taste. Some CC's will come packaged with a GUI that allows the user to make changes to the logic (without having to resort to C# and LUA knowledge) and some will not. My advice is to keep trying new CCs and specs until you find the setup you are happy with (also a good learning process).

However, be warned: as Kronz already stated, some CCs can be extremely buggy due to developers not having the time to keep them updated. So be wary of all CCs and keep an eye on your setups until you have straightened out all the kinks. Good luck and stay sharp!

I have been leveling as combat and I rip through mobs with ease. Also has several tricks to help out if your almost dead.
