So I am running a bot in wow right now leveling a toon up using kicks leveling profiles. And something occurred that now I have to open a ticket. The ticket says its going to take about 7 days. And see, I cant NOT bot for 7 days. I have quotas that I have to fill farming wise for clients. so stopping botting for 7 days is almost impossible for me. Id rather cancel the ticket all together even though that would be a huge pain in the neck because it is a semi drastic issue. So I was wondering what would happen if I left my bot running and if the GM would like to speak to you window popped up and my bot kept botting and never answered the ticket. What would happen? I would assume that the GM would assume I am botting and ban me or whatever. But then.. I really dont have a solid idea. Anyone?
I would strongly advise against botting while you have an active ticket. However, if you must and should you need to explain why you did not respond, you could state that your current UI configuration does not show the GM chat screen.
I made a ticket several times ingame while I was botting. I just got back to an email with something like: You were busy when I contacted you, but I think I have corrected the problem ..blah blah blah. So just make that ticket.
I think it's a different conversation if you're submitting a ticket - most of the time they just in-game mail you now and dont even message you.
make a ticket at account management https://us.battle.net/support/en/ticket/submit it can still be about an ingame topic
thats impossible, it ALWAYS shows, no matter how you conf your UI. Mine is highly customized, even got chats off while in combat and only realy got what i need. But gm window pops up no matter what i did! Just dont open a ticket when you bot, simple. On the other hand, when not botting, i didnt respond to em on many occasions. 1. because i needed some item reinstated or i needed something back that i deleted by accident. 2. when reporting people, i even said in the ticket dont talk to me, just do your job etc etc and they still wisper. So many times i did not answer, it does not matter. A gm has windows open like msn. You are one of a lot they are trying to chat 2. Window stays open for x amount of time. you didnt reply, they finish your ticket and send you a mail, no worries. so i wouldnt care to much, still it was very stupid to bot and open a ticket.
i run the bot daily, and had a ticket about changing my name of my bnet last name, and gm talked to me while i was on youtube watching dave chapelle stand up comedy, and when i got back the GM had just said hello? twice then he also had changed my lastname and set the ticket to answered
Why do you lie? Do you think it makes people believe you are cool or something? In order to change the last name on an account, official documents, that are notarized would have to be sent into Blizzard. This is something Billing would take care of, not Game Masters.
I've open a few tickets while botting and been AFk. Like the others have said I usually just get an email saying they did their best to resolve the situation.
I don't have the heart to try and do it... Apparently blizzard checks your recent activity so if you are farming an instance for example and have the exact completion time over and over again for like 3-4 hours in what they know is a commonly botted instance they will suspect something. I just did something stupid and my bot sold all mats that i had been collecting... 50k gold down the drain... Hopefully I can get it restored <3
You realize you did pointless necro on almost 3 years thread? The stuff discussed there is obsolate enough, so continuing the discussion is pointless indeed.
I was botting with a ticket open, gm window came up while I wasnt at the pc so I didnt respond. Gm responded to the ticket after not getting a hold of me, and I was perfectly fine. 3 weeks later, no issues.
Wow,you guys are a hell of allot braver than me. Opening a ticket is 100% NOT an option in my book. Just because I bot. It's like drawing attention to your acct. I'm paranoid about them looking at my history and clearly see I have ben bottling. I have come to accept ,that it's just me ,(and my bot), in this huge world called, World of Warcraft.
Most of the time the response (at least the first) is automated anyways nowadays, but I would still be cautious regardless.
