What do you guys use to do 80-85 completely afk'd? I've heard everything from BGbuddy, GB to ArchaeologyBuddy. I would use Questing, but it's about 60% afkable which is pretty low when you can't always be at the computer.
What I always do is: 80-82 Hyjal Kicks quest profile (You only need to help it with the last quest) <-- I would only recommend this if your character is decent, then it should be pretty easy 82-85 a mix of BGs/arch/gathering and some quests if you are ever at your keyboard for a few hours.
Well, when questboting in Mount Hyjal there's no need to baby sit. I've never had any problems there with Kick's profile. At 82 it's your own choice...either quest and babysit or something of your own choice. I do recommend questing on 84-85 in Twilight Highland's, not really because it's possible to be AFK, but because the XP you get from the quests is ridiculous. You'll hit 85 in no time! Cheers.
/h depends on your flying mount and how far are the sites. You get @9k I believe per fragment pickup. I left him 5 hours, 2 or 3 times and it got @ 2mill+ xp in that time. Not a lot, but makes money also, cool stuff and also imo it's 99.99% AFK-able.
Only if your character has AH Cata greens. Northrend greens are NOT enough by any means to carry you through Hyjal, and don't even mention Uldum, you will die like a bitch there. You will need lots of gold for Cata greens, and if you are doing a reroll on a different realm, you are gonna suffer. Heavily.
I used GB with mining and herb was pretty nice and sometime HB for the honor that you can buy things at 85.
You can't 100% afk with 1-82, Kicks leveling profiles before cata get stuck in a lot of places and also leave you questing in zones doing gray/green quest as well. I'm pretty sure I figured out how some people got banned around 70-71 from quest botting, there's a couple of places the bot gets stuck in warsong hold and does some VERY bottish things like running in circles lost and such, trying to get to an npc. The main spot in Warsong hold that kick's profile messes up on is the elevator and running in circles on the roof trying to turn quest in to guys down inside the place.
I still think BGing over long periods of time botting isn't safe, because the AI in HB does some really stupid stuff sometimes... Too many to even list really. It's a wonder more people using HB in bgs haven't been banned. lol
Really? I've always thought gathering and AB gave exp. I've used it to level up some of my toons, and this has been since I can remember arch coming out. I even maxed arch on one toon by hand. Biggest pain in the ass I've ever played.
The biggest question is what class. It seems that any melee can quest 1-85 AFK with little to no problems. Where as suishy's seem to start having problems at 40-45 and again after Hyjal.
Basically, if you want 100% AFK, 82+ you should mix AV with AB. Takes more time, but in the end is faster than struggling with the questing profiles. I managed to AFK quest my Mage to 84 and then I had to switch to AB and AV farming, and I am not sure now what is the state of the 80-85 part of the profiles, as my latest toon, a priest, is only 74 now. I must say, maybe with the new Dungeonbuddy 80-85 will be doable with LFD. TL;DR - the first sight of trouble, switch to AV and AB farming.
