I just got the sh!t scared out of me!

So here I am running archaeology bot in outlands, alt tabbed watching some youtube. So I run WoW in windowed full screen and windows 7 glass is turned on so when I am alt tabbed I can see my bars and what not. Anyways... I am alt tabbed and im watching youtube then i see my screen all tan and i go back to wow and its a loading screen. so i am like wtf and stop honorbuddy... then it loads and i am in Black Wing lair. So when I see this i almost have a heart attack because i am not in a party and i was in OUTLANDS so I know a GM just ported me inside, i wasnt even in a raid. So when I see this I immediately start talking in guild like OMG WTF I JUST RANDOMLY PORTED TO BWL AND I WAS IN OUTLANDS...

I am scared now lol...

Well I am not 100% sure. But I dont understand how a glitch could cause me to be ported into a dungeon, thats in fact on a different continent, different world in fact. I guess its a possibility.

 

Why would a GM do that, dont they just send you a message if they think you are botting, you dont respond and then they force log you.

 

I don't know. I don't understand it either. But it did happen. Whether if be a GM or glitch something happened and it made my stomach turn.

 

To see if u start running into a wall when the bot freaks out, easy way to spot a botter for a GM.

 

Wasn't aware glitches like that existed. Think that either way, surprise is an appropriate reaction whether or not a GM is about =P

 

its a rare gm tactic to detect if ure bot or not. if u act like nothing happened then u must be a bot.
you must be unlucky because a gm was individually watching you ^^

 

Yep, had it happen to me once a long time ago, using a different bot. The GM opened chat with me like 2 minutes later though, I did the same and started talking to friends/hearthed immediately. If I do remember right, pirox had the option to auto log as soon as a crazy port like that happened, but it was wrong a lot of the time, (accidental flying through hyjal portals ftw xp). I got sent to some cave in silithus.

 

no u just were not watching the bot and it went into bwl portal

shit happend to me when i was fishing in twilight and hb bugged out i was not looking at the screen and it flew me all the way to elwynn forest and i thought i was also teleported

closed hb opened it again worked fine

This is right, GMs will move you to see what happens, run to wall, spin in circles ect, as stated above you couldnt have run into a port as you need to be in a raid or you wont be able to zone in. If he went in BWL i'd put money on it being a GM. Id lay low for a while or at least watch the bot incase interaction is needed. Pirox used to have the option to respond with a custom WTF message and log you out on unknown ports, as it was a known tactic that GMs had used.

 

its common that GM's port you somewhere different...if you dont react like a person then u get a ban/suspension

Sheon I was in oulands and i was inside BWL... you have to be in a raid to enter bwl... I wasnt grouped.

Screenshot me inside BWL? would that prove anything? and it happened yesterday... I didnt think it SC i thought to act like a RL person and talk in guild then log off.

 

That was GM-s teleport, i got it 10+ times, 1 time i got it on 3 characters on same server (2 alliance and 1 horde), all 3 got teleport in same cave and i had to choose, whitch one to save, i stopped 1 and asked on /say my other 2 bots HEY GUYS WTF IS THIS, and they just started running into wall and trying to go back to hotspots and few seconds later both off them disconnested and got ban, third account didnt get ban and i decided to put it on cooldown for 2-3 days, after like 3 days i started him to work again and i sent him to vashir and while i was doing something he got ban in like 5 min, my luck ban was 72 hours, and after i got it back 3 days later i saw that i didnt even have 1 full stack of ore or herbs, so i was guessing that GM who ported me with other 2 accounts 2-3 days earlier didnt forget me, or i was really unlucky to get caught after 5 minutes of farming. Also 1 more advice, 1 time when i got teleport, i saw it and just turned off bot and started farming by myself, GM teleported me 10 times, every time when i land on ore or herb he ported me 30-50 yards from that ore/herb and i was just instantly going back to that node, after like 10 teleports i got ban, later i was thinking why, only reason why i got it is because i was acting like bot, every time GM teleported me 20-30 yards from node i just rush back to node and farm, i totaly forgot to stop farming and start whining on /s or /g chat and act like real person. I hope this will help you save some accounts, but trust me if you get teleport to any location its not glitch or anything else, its gm testing your character, i got it so many times, saved like 5+ characters when i saw teleport, and found so many of my bots on strange locations after my 72 hour bans.

I've been playing WoW since day 1 of release, and never, NEVER have I just randomly teleported somewhere. It was no coincidence that minutes after being teleported many times that I got banned. People telling you it has nothing to do with a GM have their head in the sand.

 

PS you dont need to be in a raid to zone into bwl or MC, but like OP said he was in outlands so sure it was gm
