Why on EARTH would you need to put that into an .EXE file?! All of this can be done using PDF if you really want to bundle all the tutorials that are already available on the forums.

The original post needs more content with pics before people will try it, you aren't especially clear on what exactly your program does apart from outlining that it "helps".

 

we're not trolls. We're just pointing out the obvious: This smells fishy.
Also; it's against forum rules. It's not allowed to post ZIP files unless there's a log in it, it's definitely not allowed to post executables, whether inside a ZIP file or not.

Do you need to enter your username and password to enter the program? No you don't.

 

Okay, you can confirm this with Tony, you know the administrator? I scanned it with www.virustotal.com, bloody hell what do you want? I try to make some positive contribution to the forums and I get it thrown back right in my face.

 

There could be a keylogger in it. That wouldn't register as a virus so a virusscanner wouldn't notice it. Could even be an installer for a keylogger in it and no one would be the wiser.
As said before; Executables aren't allowed on this forum for a very good reason.

I'd advise anyone to stay far, far away from this.

Nether the less, if I read the exe (read not excecuting it) it seems it's a Visual Basic Programm with 11 Winforms.
It has at least some help. There are a lot of strings with more or less usefull tipps (like how to add exceptions to the firewall)

But as many users have already said, posting closed source stuff seems to be against the rules:

So as your file doesn't seem to contain any url (except the 2 for honorbuddy) and doens't seem to contain harmfull stuff
(it seems only to have a lot of getters and setters and auto generated stuff) why not just upload the entire VisualStudio Project?



Your exe realy looks as you have given a lot of effort and time to provide "help". Maybe you have writen an EXE as you wanted to improve your own coding abilitys.
But you must know, exe files are always a source of risk (it's verry diffucult to "read" them and it's very easy to hide something).
I don't want to say you are hiding something, your exe file seems to be clean, but there is always a "risk"

 

Connor you might have good intentions but you do need to follow the rules on this, the community has these in place for good reason.

You don't need an exe to hand out tips and tutorials. Like someone suggested (was it Croga?), you could have made a PDF. Even a well illustrated forum post.
It's the internet. People do this stuff to plant trojans and keyloggers. You can't blame people for not trusting some random post and a link to an exe saying "this helps".

Thank you for this contribution, although it's perfectly understandable that a third party exe can be considered as harmful for members. (especially when this kind of guide can be written in a PDF/Word file or whatever)
After have a look inside your app, I'm according to 1101011 to say there isn't any malicious code.

You're right I only though about that after restarting it and moving the toon myself, making the log kinda useless.
Basically the log said just what I said: It was going to execute that line in the profile and that was the end of the log. There wasn't even a call to the nav server. Moving the toon to the vicinity of the console revived the bot.

I'll try to get you more info on a next run. I'm afraid I'm not awake enough at the moment to debug the profile in any kind of useful way.
