I wouldn't touch another bot with a 10 foot pole right now with the Warden update/warmod rumors

Guys, just be patient. Everyone knows when you rush things, there are always mistakes made. And just think, if you bought a bot that's out and functional right now, I can gaurantee that the developers rushed it to make quick money before warden shuts their business down. What makes Bossland superior is that they take the time to hash things out to ensure account security, they care for the integrity of their product, and they aren't really concerned for the money because they know their work will sell it self. Bossland can't guarantee anyone not getting caught or banned, but they will do their best if you use their software the way it was intended. Just use your head guys, if they are waiting till monday (which is when RMAH is suppose to go live), they are probably trying to see what blizzard is doing and catch undetected warden activity to get a better understand of how it works in Diablo 3.

You do realize that the first potentially problematic anti-botting patch just hit live? And that this is more likely then not going to impact the release date? No?

What you don't see is that there's mainly two kinds of botters (with some shades of gray in between, but that's besides the point):

      A) Botter that only cares about money

      B) Botter that only bots for himself

Botter "A" should always get whatever comes out first, because it's the more profitable thing to do.

Botter "B" should wait for whichever he considers to be the safest (no doubt DB in this case).

I still think that the team could have released a basic version of the bot to cater to botter "A", without hurting botter "B", that could have just waited for a more finished product.

There's no bullshit, you don't have to be so closed minded. Just because you're in no hurry to make money off it doesn't make that it wasn't EXTREMELY rewarding to the people that jumped in first.

Their bot is already warden-proof, they've said so themselves. Further, Warden is designed in a way to have it's own procedures changed at any time, so the protection has to be designed in a way that shouldn't require constant tweaking every time Blizzard adjusts their protocols. Also, the release dates that have been mentioned (Weds, Fri) were after Warden was implemented, and the entire point of my post was it's difficult for people to understand how saying it will be out in the next 24 hours can turn into 100+ hours. When they said (pre Warden) Wednesday as a possible release date, and it got pushed, I'd assume everyone understands how Warden could have impacted that date. But the Friday to *hopefully* Monday is a loong adjustment for a group that's acknowledged they do work weekends.

If you read my entire post, you'd have seen that I'm not saying the devs are doing anything wrong, I'm saying the people "flaming" them have valid concerns/reasons, but also saying the devs could have valid reasons for the delays. I'm not botting to make gold, so I don't mind that every day the price of gold drops, but I DO mind that every day the price of the items I want on the AH increase in value :(

The point is, people are flaunting how "rewarding" other products were for them and attempting to entice people into using one of those products. There is no reason for it.

Making the quick buck has never been the buddy team's style. We have an idea of what demonbuddy will be capable of based on their other bots.

They've only given a couple possible release dates besides leaving teases when they've thought it would be ready sooner then the possible release date which was previously mentioned. There's no reason for people to beat the dead horse of release dates.

And I don't see how it's closed minded of me to think that most of the people making a ruckus are doing so with malicious intent.

Malicious intent? I haven't read EVERY page of the DB threads, but I've read a lot, and I dont think anyone is saying "hey don't buy DB because x y and z are better programs." I have read several people saying they were going to use others until DB released so as to take advantage of gold market that may not last long. I fail to see where malice is involved.

As for the release date comments, im inclined to agree with you. This is the reason they didn't want to announce anything to begin with. People get bent out of shape and feel as if they are owed this product. There is a reason you want a Buddy product and I'm guessing its because they provide a good affordable product with HB. If you are not happy with how fast they are releasing their product, go elsewhere. Nobody is forcing you to purchase anything here. It amazes me that people are so ready to flame devs when they are currently being sued by the company they are developing another hack for. I'd say the likelihood that any other dev community would keep things going like this after being sued is close to 0%. Lets give them some credit here.

I would hate for people to see the tinfoil hat I'm wearing, but obvious posts like "hey don't buy DB because x y and z are better programs." wouldn't work. Repeatedly mentioning possible riches and mind numbing rants meant to play off people's frustrations are actually basic psychology. I think only a couple of people are doing this intentionally, playing off of natural emotions, this effect easily snowballs and just needs a little continued poking and prodding. I don't think they are even being subtle about it.

      /readjusts tinfoil hat

and besides, even mentioning other bots is against forum rules and people are continuously and blatantly naming names...

I was hoping to have an interestimg exchange of opinions on this subject until I read this post. Then I realized I'd be wasting my time.

All I'll say is, try not to tighten your tinfoil hat too hard. It's dangerous.

and you call me close minded lol

even if it's not intentional can you tell me how those posts are constructive?

edit: I can understand someone writing a post like that on impulse once or twice but when it's multiple times on several threads, that's ridiculous

A modified version of what i have said few pages before,BUT this wouldn't be productive or good for the rep of Buddy team.
What would they put in their disclaimer notes ?

*Disclaimer: The bot is a basic version of what we actually would like to achieve , use it on your own risk because there will be bugs and we can't guarantee that it will be bug free and secure when Blizz updates, also we will be doing updates and tweeks on the bot so u will probably need to update your version several times a day.

Also, not to mention that the "regular" user would want to stick their hand in the cookie jar and would lost a finger or two(metaforicly speaking) and start complaining and that would cause the devs and admins to waste time on explaining what this basic version was meant for and that regular users at the first place didn't have no business whatsoever in the cookie jar at all.

      Patience is the key!
Like devs from GW2 said, it will be ready when we feel its ready.

I'm Really looking forward to seeing this bot in action, is it going to look alot like Honorbuddy for wow were it has custom profiles, Custome Classes, and such, will it have built in grinding? if this question is a repeat direct me were to go cause i haven't read up much on Demonbuddy yet, but will soon enough, i'd also like to see what blizzard is going to do, how will they say your botting, since alot of bans come from Player Reports and with this playing solo its much more.... advantageous for botters thanks many kisses from my house to your hut in the boonies :)

wait, so blizzard did what they said they were going to do and you're mad? k.

they have said all along that farming bosses will not be as lucrative as farming champ packs. also, act 3 is where the good shit is at. don't expect to see a 1200 dps weapon drop from act 1 or 2 very often. the best items come from act 3.
