      Devs,

I understand this bot is not going to outsell honorbuddy or demonbuddy, but I feel like we are going to get a raw deal because of this. I purchased this bot because I figured we could take one of any class to 50 with it. I can deal with zero pvp support, no crew skills, no space missions, no dungeon support. However, there are issues with classes that don't function or stop attacking I can only bot an agent if im lucky to 38 and the profiles I've so far used have not worked unless i feel like making a bunch of level 10 alts. I have used honorbuddy for a long time and I really hate to even have to write this but I really feel ripped off on this particular product. I shouldn't be using free space bots when I have this bot sitting on my desktop. What changes or level of support can we expect for this product?? I'm sure I'm not the only one that needs answers specifically at this point. Also I have posted logs with little to no responses. When can we expect full profiles, working classes and the ability to hit 50 on all classes?

Well if you've read the couple of main threads you would have seen that Kick has been furiously working on the various class quest profiles. It was seriously hampering his ability to make them to not be able to run multiple iterations of the bot. Now that they've added that he's able to work on multiple classes at the same time (he had posted a pic showing multiple characters). If you point to his SVN you can see that he's been updating those profiles on pretty much a daily basis.

As far as CCs go, that was being handled by someone else that wasn't on the team mostly. That gave them the ability to focus on the core bot issues. WingIt works pretty well. The only problem is that the developer has gone a trip (or something) for the next week or so. So any issues with it now have to be covered by the main development team (which takes them away from working on other things).

Otherwise they've been fairly good at updating the main bot itself whenever any major issues arise. There have been three updates in the last week alone.

So while I understand that you're frustrated (I had an issue that arose today that won't be fixed for another day or so), I'd say that they've proven over the last two weeks that they are pretty dedicated to this bot... Especially with how much work and the number of changes that have been happening on a daily basis.

At the end of the day, tho, their level of support will be based on how many people purchase it... Plus with their D3 bot having just been released (and the issues it is seeming to be having based on the raging hordes over there) I'm not surprised that it got quiet in here today and possibly for the next couple of days as they are probably doing a "all hands on deck" dealing with that.

You have to be a realist... SWTOR isn't going to sell anywhere near the number of bots as HB did (or DB will) so they have to justify their development time and resources accordingly. Even still I say that as long as you're posting in the correct places, posting what is going on in clear english while being polite, and attaching your logs at the same time that whatever issue you're having will get resolved sooner then later.

Xan I appreciate your response, however after working with multiple iterations of bots since october of 1999 and having went through all the noob end user stages this is very unfinished. As I stated I understand that it won't sell like the other bots, but it wasn't a free product either. I cannot use this bot for anything right now other than an agent or a bunch of level 10's as my level 50 madness sorc refuses to attack more than once per mob. I have triple checked my settings to no avail I have updated the svn's on every thing I can find including every other person's SVN listed on Kick's svn, I have combed through our forums, and I have noted Kick's work as well. This is just not what I expected product wise or support wise from the Bossland team, instead of me running buddywing I have to run free space mission bots, I see that as wrong.

You have a fair point. There are so many class quests and the level 50 quests require better combat routines. We are trying to have all the quests to 50, Republic and Empire, done by June 20. Kick and CNG are both targeted on that. Aevitas is working on space missions and we hope to have that by end of month. I'm the combat routine guy and this week I am swamped with Demonbuddy bug support. I expect to be back in action next week.

If you feel misled or if you are unhappy about the value for money, we are happy to refund you. support@thebuddyforum.com Sorry for your disappointment.

      @OP:

      I assume you've played 1 class to 50, right?

It takes a couple of weeks just to do it manually

Well, it takes double that (give or take) to develop 1 class for that rep w/o testing. If I test + develop... it could take 4-5 times as long as it does to just go up and press an object and keep going

Now, I have to do that 15 more times...

      4 classes x2 reps x2 factions = 16

So, there will be questing issues.

Now - as far as the CC's go. It's the same deal, most are developed a little (Neo did a lot of them). But w/o user input and bug reports / suggestions... this game is soooooo hard to level up vs wow/d3/etc due to specific class quest lines, and rep (dark / light)... as well as the game is just a pain to level up in, in general.

Give us some time - it's a good bot, but I can't make it go any faster due to the game mechanics =(

      Devs,

Thank you for your comments and answers, to Kick, it took me 3.5 weeks to hand level a Sorc doing a combination of class and normal quests to 50. I am aware of the time sink, I'm also aware of the fact bug testing needs to be done. This is actually the reason for open betas, something that this bot already had and has since moved into the paid stage (so at this time there really aren't any excuses besides the occasional "missed" bug)Why weren't these profiles for leveling and FINISHED CC's that worked packed with the release of buddywing? Months have passed since this project was announced. I know you guys as a team CAN produce a quality product, I am looking for a time frame that includes the possibility of delays so I can stop hoping for a fully functional bot and bury it until that time. To Hawker, as a last resort I will ask for a refund but I really was waiting a long time for this bot....

The wait for the release of this bot was substantial. Thank you Kick and others for continuing this project. I won't be one to ask for a refund, but patiently wait for a working product.
