Good news, everyone! Here's a little preview of what we've got in store for you with Buddy Wing: space missions! In this five minute video we show you what Buddy Wing is currently capable of, which of course is a work in progress and will be further built upon. Keep in mind all this is done by the bot itself, apart from the first 10-15 seconds or something where I dodge a rock with my amazing rock-juking skills! You may want to re-upload without music. Youtube's tagged the music and won't let you play it back inline at this point. Otherwise, I like what I'm seeing so far.
Is it going to do all space missions? Understand if cant do higher ones they are hard enough without bot. Going to have way to set which ones to do for dailys, or just repeat 1 over and over. Guess could detect what ones have. Will work for lower missions when you dont have all extra items yet. Like emp so on? This will be awesome once combined with crew skills. Will be only bot need. And oh could even walk and deposit to bank on ship. Not sure how moving around on ship would be. *continues pondering to self*
That's pretty impressive stuff!! Can it handle the "focus fire" / "focus shields" buttons yet? That would make it nigh invincible. No apologies necessary. I'll listen to Kane any day. Especially their Java island concerts were amazing!
Wait a second... I just noticed something. You were playing that with the bot at full resolution, weren't you? If so that is simply amazing. I hate having to drop my resolution down just to use one of the pixel bots.

Buddybots usually don't pixel. Buddybots usually check what's happening and respond to that according to a profile or a combat routine. I imagine this won't be much different. It's Kane. A Dutch rockband, quite probably the best thing since Golden Earring.
Yup not pixelbot. And can run multiple same time! Woot Cant wait to have my 2 accounts lvling via space missions. If everyone jumps on the lvl via spacemission bandwagon will have to make class only profiles so can go back do them at 50 hehe.
Yeah, that's why I'm not leveling my guys by just doing space missions fully... Just enough to get some cash and have them leveled higher then the area is set for.
Yes, I was running it at 1920x1080. We won't be using a pixel bot or any "scripted" action for this bot; it's fully dynamic. As it stands now, it works without profiles too, as it's steered by going after the other ships rather than going through its own path - the other ships avoid any obstacles, so most of the time we profit from them. Also Croga, we have full support for casting spells in Buddy Wing, which includes casting the spaceship's spells.
That's definitely something we may want to take up in the profiles, but by no scripts I meant we're not like the other bots who press key X at millisecond Y on the timeline. Our aim was to do it right, or not do it at all. We're looking into a proper way of dodging obstacles such as asteroids and other stuff as well so I can leave my rock-juking skills at home.
damn i'm really looking forward to the spacebot ... and then hopefully not to far out into the future, pvp bot
At least you can set it to the combat bot right now and go PvP. Just drop the pull range to 0.01 and you'll have full control until you target someone. Is fun to run around and jump on someone and have the bot take over to just take them down...
I'm excited for this to be out! Do you plan to have this be able to select the mission you tell it to and just rinse/repeat completely AFK or is it something we need to be at the keyboard for? So tired of the other bots out there for space that I need to hand over my computer to.
