@raphus I love the work you put into all this, but honestly, what's the point of saying something will be released on Friday, postpone it 3 days then be absolutely silent on the revised release date?

I'm seriously beginning to wonder why The Buddy Team even gives ANY ETAs or expected release dates anymore. It's more frustrating than any other paid service I've experienced in my life. Just ranting here, don't want any refunds, just a little more honesty and communication when a staff member posts release dates. I understand it's an extra feature we're not paying anything additional for, which is why I've been as patient as possible, but a lot of times the communication on these forums is spotty at best.

Again, love the work you're putting into this, but at least give an update when you post a release date if something changes. If it's work-related, that's totally fine, just a little communication is all I'm looking for.

I'm sure it'll be this week. Just a matter of some "kinks" I'm sure. Just had to get my previous post out of my system. I doubt it'll be past this week. ;)

Apoc and Raphus are on holidays and the geolocation stuff the Demonbuddy ruling caused us to make to auth locked out HB users yesterday. We should have a clean upgrade of auth done Friday and then we will do a test release. HB itself is ready - its just the auth servers that need work.

And you didn't know that they would be on holidays last Friday?

      Come on...
I'm really upset... Your focus has totally moved to Demonbuddy... It's not that you moved the ETA again. It's that you move the ETA for the fifth time and this was supposed to be released in the beginning of this year!

Sorry but I don't believe you anymore, as what you are saying doesn't make sense...

I'm pissed not because you are postponing again, I'm pissed because you give a shit about HB since DB has started to get worked on.
Just check for the last release of HB...

Would have been silly to release it a day before a possible maintenance anyway. If they change the offsets it would need another release today. I want a new release also, but it's not the end of the world unless your Mayan :)

      excactly this.

Stop giving us ETA's when you guys arent able to plan stuff. The holiday thing only makes it worse. the communication of the dev team is absolutely terrible....just terrible. improve this, you guys are a company and should care about your customers. I for one am done with ETA's. I really dont believe them anymore. You can say Friday.....whe already had someone say Friday.....and then it became monday....and then it became friday again...why not release it when x-mas and easter are on the same date?

LMAO........................been telling users it's a sinking ship, constantly being lied to, no HB updates at all in over 4 months, other than the offsets, when last wow patch came out. Yet you have noobs constantly kissing the Dev's asses in the forums. When will people learn not to believe what you are told and start putting the picture together for yourselves. And just like HB users, DB users will be kicked to the curb as soon as the devs figure out something else they can sell to their victims. Why buy any product from any company that basically shits on their customers the moment they receive your money. Honorbuddy my ass, nothing honorable about HB. Should have named it fukubuddy.

Edit: Soz to hear a lot of HB users actually purchased DB and essentially wasted their money. But, you should have realized it was never intended as a long term bot. It was nothing more than an attempt to "cash in" on the newest/hottest game release while there was the opportunity to do so..................................so now we have HB customers that have been screwed as well as DB customers. Personally, I think an Buddy product license should come with a tube of KY. At least you would then be able to anticipate getting fked !!!

How is this constructive? Your unhappy fine. No reason to try and stir the pot with other players that are still ok with waiting. Play the game by hand. At least it's still open, not like some other bots. HB hasn't left anyone high and dry yet. jmo

Pretty sure it's not meant to be constructive. And as I have purchased many Lifetime accounts, I reserve the right to bitch and complain when the company I gave my money to doesn't hold up their end of the agreement.

I don't see any agreement of updates in the buying section only that the license is lifetime, nor i see any TOS which include any rights of updates to you ;). I know many software comanys who sell you a lifetime license but charge updates (exept security patches) extra. So you have no right to "bitch" or complain.

Does anyone of you know the meaning of ETA?

It means ESTIMATED time of arrival so it is no fix date. So stop QQ around when you don't know what you say.

      xxnuclearxx ,

Just to show how ridiculous your statement is, would you purchase a "life time" account which the name implies as "For the duration of the bot" had it been said or implied that it was only good till the next wow patch when offsets were broken. Although something isn't explicitly stated, much is implied in the manner in which a product is marketed. Do you purchase a new wow account every time a new patch comes out? No, you expect wow to work for the duration of your current xpac that you purchased.

well, no one of the dev team should never ever say, the other bots do not affect the development of HB. As it was said every time when a new bot was made. It's ridiculous. And poor. I won't be this extreme as botanist said, but in the core, he is right. Postponing a bugfixed version because of "auth issues" and other blabla is a punch in the face of longtime customers.
Just say it as it is: you have spent all your resources for your other bots!

As i said in my previous post there are many software companys who say you buy a lifetime license that will allow you to use their product without a timelimit but that fact does NOT include lifetime updates. They provide you with security updates but when the version changes and they implement new features you have to buy a upgrade or a new license. Most of them give you a period of one year free updates after that you have to pay. For service you have to pay an extra yearly fee. i don't talk about games i talk about software mainly in buisiness softwares like for accountancy.

And no i don't buy a new Account(Lifetime) with every new patch. I pay a subscription fee which let me play a game i have ALLREADY paid for. Did you see how it works? You pay twice you pay the subscription fee to Blizzard for the Servers, Gamemasters, patches etc. AND you buy a lifetime license for the game ;).
