You know what I hear when I read all of Blizzards comments that you posted? Me, me, me, me, me, this hurts corporate earnings, me, me, me, me, me.

In your defense, you should really talk about the human aspect, and how Blizzard seems to not give a damn. Continuously adding features that increase the time sink and probability that the player will become overwhelmed by the game. Talk about cases of video game addition, people farming endlessly for days and days because Blizzard says this is what they must do to have fun. Then, The Buddyteam coming in to relive the stress and addiction of that player. The Buddyteam is like a nicotine patch for a addicted smoker, you provide the nicotine ( gold, items, farming ) so that the player can continue playing ( living ) without the addiction.

The Buddyteam is really here for the end user, that is shown in every action you guys have ever taken, without a doubt. Appealing to the human aspect of the discussion will be a powerful way to counter blizzards arguments.

The fact that they included evidence from their OWN FORUMS is plain stupid. It should be no problem to get that thrown out immediately, considering they moderate them and control what and who is allowed to speak. I would suggest you make your own poll on an impartial forum, but the userbase of any other forum is nothing compared to what the "official" blizzard forums are, so that is probably not going to happen.

These are my thoughts, because for me, The Buddyteam has been that nicotine patch. I am addicted smoker (player), and The Buddyteam has provided me with that nicotine (gold, items, leveling) that has allowed me to continue playing without putting at risk my own life outside of the game in order to succeed. If that is not a powerful enough argument against a corperate giant who wants nothing more than to captivate its audience to the point that they have no choice but to spend real dollars in order to succeed (RMAH) or risk our own real lives all because the game they (Blizzard) created is taking over.

 

if they think they have low people online now, imagine if db and other bots got banned. botters typically use 2-3 account with their main. if blizz wins its the nail in the coffin for d3.

no its only a hearing. Blizzard has convinced the court that the case with the bot is a urgend case so bossland hadn't the change to say his view to the court. Now on 10.July he has his change to say the court his view of the things. If he convinced the court this cas eisn't urgend the court can remove itsinterim injunction.

If he lose the interim injunction will be active till the main hearing.

Judges are often going in the line of the money.
Is it because of ignorance ? That i don't know.

But rest assured that the ruling will be in favor of Blizz or we're in for a big surprise.

The Judges does not know how the actual game works so it will be X vs Y in the hearing.


Bring a gaming rig and show the court it's mainly a single player game with an online AH.

 

No it would not. Their TOS doesn't say anything about purchasing third-party software that CAN be used on the game.
It only covers the active USE of the software.

Edit: when i read your post about blizzards taking SS from there forums,and this forums, just to have it as proof for this case,when it becomes in court...i think they have no chance? i mean if they need to depend on screenshots and forum discussions to win the battle, i guess it will be at the end www.Battle.lost instead of .net ?

 

....,da fragt man sich wie dieser Bot, Blizzard beim vertrieb des Spiels behindert.... Ich w?rde sogar sagen im Gegenteil viele "Botuser" haben das Spiel gleich mehrmals gekauft. Die behindern sich eher selbst durch die ganzen Bugs und dadurch, dass die im Forum / Support nie antworten und somit viele Leute aufh?ren zu spielen und schlechtes ?ber das Spiel/Blizzard berichten.

 

If you've ever read their forums they've been bashing on Blizzard ever since D3 came out and made hate threads for every little thing they didn't like. Input Game Limit, The Random Intense Lag, My Class R' Nurf'd, 1.3c QQ, this spot nerfed, general chat, ..etc. However they bandwagon on simple stuff like botting because they think it will harshly interact with the game. Honestly in my opinion it may seeing some of the idiots on these forums, but the bot isn't limited to the main goal of obtaining phat loots to shove into the RMAH. You can't really blame a bot for it's idiot consumers. They also bash on it because they're ignorant and think of intense l33t hacker nerds and picturing themselves unable to run such an affordable bot so it clearly must be bad if they don't understand it.

If those kids complain about automation you better remove everyone from the topics who have demon hunters, you can't get any closer to automation with them.

 

i wonder what will happen to our dear bliz, when they expand to china after pandaria. there, every two pagodas rests a botting company. how they are going to fight that?

Take one of the many posts i have made about HB being the ONLY was my wife can play warcraft due to her MS, multiple sclerosis. I will sign whatever the fuck they want if needed and wife will too. We can even get documents regarding the treatment she is on atm if that's the case. And i know i am not the only one on these forums in same situation.

More to do with your HB battle rather than DB i know but surely what's valid for one court case is valid for use in another? Only reason i post this here is because i had no idea they accepted SS :/

let's hire fiverr.com guys for fake revies in the hundreds In all honesty though I don't even see why they would care to make such a decision. Only thing they lose is a company to another country. Time to get younger judges that aren't blind to reality.

And as I think I said elsewhere: If I was Bosslands Lawyer I would definitely play the card with humans that are unable to play for themselves. They need automatization software and it is an undeniable point that in that regard this bot helps blizzard sell.
