BattleGround Botting --- How Safe Is It Really? ---

From this single post I can tell you've never tried to develop any program that has to react differently on multiple clients with the exact same information.

For your information: Shits hard, considering you want all the clients to have the best advantage, but, you don't want them all doing the same thing.

 

One tell of a person is using a bot is when they mount up on a large golden dragon and start moving erratic. I understand that some people like this mount. However, making sure not having the random box checked will help draw less attention to you and prevent you from being targeted as a bot.

I have 10 85's all full Cata PvP geared with Gems to match, all of this was gained via BGBuddy. I capped as many toons per week every day sense Cata geared was made available, only stopping if HB crashed or for Maintenance. I have also been Bot'n for over 2 years now for over 8 hours per day (Sometimes 24/7 for 2-3 weeks at a time, only stopping if the previous was true or I had to swap toons). I have never been banned... Honestly I feel that those of you who are being banned are doing something wrong, lol...

 

Custom Class, Plugins ?

 

Tbh nowdays theres just SO many people botting in Battlegrounds which makes the win/loss ratio bad. That means you need to bot alot which makes it risky...

 

The ratio should rather go up compared to down with more botters.
Since you probably perform worse than a normal player when botting, and if it is only you botting it means that you are dragging down your team. If everyone is botting then it is a equal game.
Unless only 1 side bot ofcourse.

 

I really wish those who say it is so easy and good would post some details... CC, plugins, if they are using default profiles, etc.

 

You know... I was typing out a full guide on what exactly I use and my success... however, I realized why people are not posting that information.

Trade secrets are just that... secrets for success. If everyone knows what works, then it will just make it more obvious for everyone and the shit just might hit the fan. :/

I can only recommend that you search for your Class/Spec with 'PVP' in the search form- Get a GOOD CC and PVP plugins which will help benefit your CLASS/SPEC.

The bot is not perfect... it is buggy at times and yes, you might need to help your character out sometimes(from getting stuck)...sometimes it will work itself out- and people may look at you and say "That guy is botting..." but with a good CC you should be able to prove your DPS/HPS and make people believe otherwise.

Find a method of being able to monitor your character (LogMeIn) and check on it every now and then if you're going to walk away from your system.

All of these Screenshots were made deep in the night when only bots queue for random bg.. most of the time there are 1-3 bots per bg.. but at night there are a lot more in a single bg, cuz the normal players are sleeping - just dont bot from 3-9am and you are fine..

 

Mate you are right about the trade secrets, I didnt think about it that way to be honest.

I sucked it up and did some experimenting today. Dont think I have the perfect mix yet, but it is getting closer.

I did a little experiment with a trial account and ran a feral druid through BG constantly and never had any problems. I even got enough to buy some heirlooms if that tells you exactly how much I let this thing run.

 

Yea, this bot is pretty good.
On my ret pally the bot play'd completely legit.

 

Same here. 2 chars with full pvp gear and only 1 time I got a whisper asking whether I was a "boot" even tough i ran it nearly 24/7.
So this was one time! I would say that leveling in pvp is safe because the bot performs sometimes better than normal players (nearly always). My warrior was once in the evening #1 in bg as a bot, it was 7 pm. :O
My undergeared ele shaman with heal gear was #2 once too. :O

 

I equipped 7 Chars now fully PVP + Season 2 or 3 transmog EQ + Weapons.
Its super easy, just need a good CC and nobody will recognize , and the results will be awesome.

Furthermore when you bot melee make sure you use Glue, its brilliant. In my oppinion caster are easier to bot, cause they stay far away, and aslong you cast anything nobody gives a fuck and nobody expects you to take a flag or anything .

 

Can someone recommend good CC for dk(frost) for bgs? dont want to use singular cuz of retarded instant interupts

Am I missing something or is there no custom profiles for Bg's? does everyone just use the default? lol

I've been using honorbuddy for a few weeks now but I remember when I used to bot with pirox back in the day that there were huge amounts of BG profiles. I understand it was a pvp bot.... but still.
