Minor Update So, read a few bug reports, and suggestions. Most have been fixed/looked into.. I have a very crude update utility to update the site from github automatically. (This may not work on all server GIT is required) Steps, 1) Make sure to delete all files EXCEPT for the settings.php 2) Extract the file to the root of your site 3) browse to http://subdomain.yourdomain.tld/install.php - this installed the git repository 4) once that has completed DELETE the install.php file 5) browse to http://subdomain.yourdomain.tld/update.php That's it your done Every time there is an update, all you have to do is run step 4, this will be automated in future updates. Items Fixed in the website - Only online characters are shown online - Multiple character tabs were not displaying proper information - json decode should be fixed (this was an issue that codebase fixed (I need people to try, it works fine for me) - Slightly fixed the new whisper flicker problem (what's left is what has to be there unless someone know jquery and can assist Let me know if there are any more problems

When the json query fails because the php returns an error it should generate an error_log in the root directory, please post the details.
Where do I find the DSN details? Is that the MySQL details? because DNS doesn't sound like MySQL to me.
I received this error trying to create a DSN. The steps I took were as follows: Programm -> Tools -> DSN Manager -> Create DSN.
that is correct, but make sure that your mysql server supports remove access or add your ip to the list. Just some FYI a DSN is a broad term for a source of data Data Source Name - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Are you running as administrator, if not this application will not have access rights to modify registry settings. When you create a DSN it adds the database details into a registry entity under the mysql driver.

I am having issues getting the plugin to communicate with the database. I have the dsn set up and it can connect but the plugin will not. Any ideas?
Yeah, I'm having problems with Android app as well. It will only sometimes load my character correctly. When it does, it does not update chat/whispers. Great Plugin though. +rep
If the installer / monitor can connect to the database the plugin should too, they use the same API's. Please post a log.
I got it. thanks. the installer wouldn't connect at all. I ended up putting the tables in manually. XD Awesome program, it's a little buggy but over all it is useful. It freaks out if you get DCed though.
