      Hi, Martianus,

The first step to diagnosing any problem is to allow the Community to 'see' what is going wrong. You do this by attaching a log that demonstrates the problem.

A number of users have reported problems with inability to compile Combat routines. We usually ask them to install a fresh copy of Buddywing into a C:/Games/Buddywing directory. Certain versions of Windoze have problems allowing necessary rights when Buddywing is installed to the Desktop, C:/Program Files/, or MyDocuments. Also, certain versions of Windoze handle pathnames with spaces or periods in them better than other versions. This is why we ask that you install simply to C:/Games/Buddywing to eliminate these problems as a possible concerns.

Don't copy over or upgrade a previous installation-do a fresh install from the website. Also, be sure to delete any C:/Games/Buddywing/CompiledAssemblies directory each time before you launch Buddywing.

As far as Routines, you can only have *one* copy of WingIt in that directory. You'll have to either pick the shipped-version, or the Subversion-version and delete the other.

For many, this procedure works. For some, it apparently does not. If it doesn't you may have to get help from Tony.

      cheers,
