I have read a lot of times by now, that diablo 3 works better on XP (faster, less load along those lines) Is there a reason you take windows 7?

Anyone found a way to link vmware monitor over virtualization to the main pc monitor? via Isboxer?

I'm still kinda on the fence about VMWare to be honnest, I mean its cool an all but Isboxer is so much nicer looking and without much overhead. when we could be just panicking over a simple game limit counter per hour. Which obviously will be fixed via doing random map or long profile chains.

Ok, let us know what you come up with then :).

Regarding blizzard, they haven't banned yet all the 24/7 botters, so I doubt they are into the profiling of the specs in order to track down other botters.

Shouldn't that jus simply 'work' ? Only problem I ran into was the "login" limitation from ISboxer. But normally you could just start isboxer on the VM's and then gather it all up on one big isboxer from another pc. I mean the program is meant to supervise several real pc's if need be so vmwares should pose no problem at all.

      Two errors in your guide:

      1. VMware tools are needed to activate shared folders.

      2. "In host VM you will see a Z: drive with all folders you need, with names"
      You mean VMguest.

Question: Whats the different between making linked files (and starting that linked file?) and starting d3 directly in the Z-folder? It works too.

And my problem: If iam done with making linked files, i cant start anything with them. Path and all is correct located to Z: I only get the following error-window:
      C:\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe
      The path isnt there/correct/whatever.
Check the path and repeat the process.
Iam german. Dunno if this the correct phrases in english :)

The lite-win7 you favourise is a 30 days version. So u need another fix for that if you dont have a key ;)

Ok, i tried it now few times. Also in different vms and i cant get it to work. I have the correct paths C:\Diablo III and Z:\Diablo III and correct links. But if i try to start the linked diablo iii.exe or something else it wants to find it in c:, not in z: I uploaded a screen. Its german, but u can see all. It is right that i have to start the linked d3.exe and not the exe in z: right? Maybe you can upload your d3-folder with all your links? So i can check your links and my links and hope to find the error. thanks

if anyone knows of some good places to farm (gold/elite) since sarkoth is instant ban please let me know. I'd assume anyone setting up VMware hasn't been banned yet. I had just set this up and my acc got banned last week for doing sarkoth =\ so now if i'm gonna grind up more accounts I want them to last at least a month before getting hit..

Ok thx, it works now. With the command prompt it wasnt clearly enough. maybe post this picture also in your guide ;)

Is it correct, that u dont link all files? So for example C:\Diablo III\Bnet\bn*.dll isnt linked, but all the others dlls. And maybe you have an idea to auto-close the prompt after loading d3?

Not true, ISBoxer's Window feeds supposedly cannot be sent over different PC's only over one. And since vmware is virtualized to make it seem like more then one its having issues im trying to figure out a way to do it. i posted up on their site.

The problem most people have is the filename you cannot start Diablo per command prompt without ""
If you want a bat file then do start "" "c:/your/path/Diablo III.exe" -launch
Those first "" are important it is actually the Title of the Window, but the start command doesn't really work otherwise.

How to use ISBoxer with multiple computers

Is what I read about it and I thought it would work for VM's just as for Real PC's. Sorry if I was wrong

I just thought you could well make your "main" pc and send from all Virtualized pc's across network or not to your main pc. At least the visual feet.

      Edit:

On a sidenote I notice, that my test WD is lagging like hell on the virtual machine with DB, although there is no reason to. CPU from host pc never goes beyond 10%, even the CPU power in the VM does not exceed 70%. ram has still space so why is it just randomly lagging? Or is it the WD that doesn't work well with e.g. combat routines?

I have pagefile 200MB and 1,5GB RAM per VM and it is ok. Pagefile is not used but provides a stability of the system.
How much you have a VM machine? and what spec PC.
