5-9% load for 1 vm ware + 1db + 1x d3 with this cpu if you want additional statistics. Not sure how low windows tweaked the core though.

Looks solid. How much CPU/Ram? I have a 7770 so I should be able to do this nicely.

      Shal,

Was wondering if you could tell me what's causing this?

[11:07:20.144 N] Error attaching to Diablo III, Reason:System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'fasmdll_managed.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.
      File name: 'fasmdll_managed.dll'
      at Zeta.MemoryManagement.ExternalProcessReader..ctor(Process proc)
      at Zeta.ZetaDia.TryInitialize(Process proc, String& reason)

I've ran the .bat like you posted sans changing them to enEN. This is when trying to run DB on my guest from my host.

      Thanks!

      and great guide!

what's the difference between store as single file and split file? I heard split file was better? Does single file take up less space?

I followed exactly what you said on adding enabling network drives as always shared and added the diablo folders but i dont see any Z: mapped of those paths

tried rebooting the guest but still not there

Can someone give me a hand for this part plz?

I disabled a bunch of services, from the guide you posted im going to try re-enable the ones I disabled

Ive tried google and all they say is it should automatically appear but i dont see no Z drive in my guest or host

OK got it running, but after nearly half a day of troubleshooting and getitng it running, the performance is no different of when I was running it off m VM winxp

the FPS is so bad when DB is running I loose about 200 GPH

I tested this without DB playing manually and its fine

wtf is DB doing to the VM or the game that is causing this?

Im not the only one with this issue, ive seen other posts with the exact same problem

Funny thing is, DB and d3 run fine on Host PC

In VM set the cpu priority to above normal. Fixed it for me.

Hey thanks alot of actually trying to help out

This is my first time using VM Workstation, I increased the number of cores per processors and the number of processors

      is this what u mean?

did you do anything under Virtualization Engine?

No I mean press strg + alt + delete, open task manager, rightclick the diablo 3 process select Set Priority and set it to something higher then normal and you are good to go. You need to do this INSIDE the vm that is running Diablo 3. Rightclick the VM and you can also tell the program to send the command so you don't have to go through both of them
Most likely it is some kind of bug, but it works.

Edit if it helps you give me your reputation *piranha* ;))

I didn't read the whole thread so not sure if this has been asked before but there is one thing about using VMware that bothers me. Looking at the D3Debug.txt in my diablo folder it lists your computers hardware and there is also a line that says:

      ****** Graphics Device Info ******
      2012.07.27 00:24:27.404075800 vm3dum.dll
VMware SVGA 3D (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)

Does that mean blizzard can detect people running Vmware? This would be an easy way for them to flag botters. I mean why would anyone run Diablo on a VM if not for botting.
