Dunatank's Warrior CC - An Arms/Fury/Protection CC

We all work full time - give it a few more days and your issues will be fixed. Looking into & reproducing it is one thing - changing the code & test is the other.

 

Was wondering why this CC is using Thread.Sleep() and also StyxWoW.SleepForLagDuration()? Honorbuddy's guides written on behavior trees state that one shouldn't use either of those methods for pausing in CC development as it will stop pulsing everything else until the sleep is over and was specifically why Wait() and WaitContinue() were created if delays were needed. I'm wondering if specifically this is perhaps causing the 85 arms dps in raids to do less than it should even with framelock off due to castarmsspell when stance dancing? Just trying to understand better what's going on.

Ok, so I am having an issue with the CC using TC and Render. Any ideas. I will attach a log of needed, but I thought I saw this issue pop up before.

 

Using it with dungeonbuddy level 17 warrior. Not going defensive stance or using taunt?!

 

Always include a log when reporting issues. It saves time, frustration, and energy. Just a good practice to attach a log when something isn't working.

Need a log. Always attach a log. If they don't have logs to look at then there's an abundance of issues that could be going on. As above, make it a habit to attach a log when reporting issues.

And this is as protection, level 19 warrior. Not using taunt, Sunder armor, Shield slam, Defensive stance etc...?

Well i dont even need to attach a log file to say this.

Not impressed at all, had far higher expectations that this, especially with all the hype you gave it.

Arms is pretty feeble imo compared to other cc's which arn't even getting updated. And the prot spec is just useless wouldn't even use this in lfr.

 

No, you don't need a log file to state your opinion, however negative it may be. But, in order to back up your claims and complaints of failure, one would be required to be looked into to locate the problems you were having.

The CC has just been written and distributed for public use. Expect errors. Yes, they tested it and tried to work out the glitches, but as for any piece of software that's written, all bugs will not be removed and new bugs will surface. With helpful community feedback the CC will improve. If you don't like the CC, and you don't have the patience to wait for things to be fixed, then why waste your time and energy writing a complaint that no one will really read anyway? Just go find another CC to use instead.

As for the protection spec portion of the CC that you call useless? Well, where's your proof that it's useless? I tank exclusively with DWCC. I've run many dungeons (regular, heroic, and HoT) without any threat issues, without aggro issues, without dying, and it's also gotten me any of the top 3 dps positions, depending on the content I was running. So, unless you're doing something really wrong, I don't see how you can call it useless. Oh, and as for LFR, I have tanked LFR using this and it works just as well in LFR as it does in dungeons.

I will agree that the DPS portions could use a little work (and I've mentioned that to wownerds, just as many others have) when compared to all the Arms / Fury CCs that are out, but that's not really what I use this CC for. I use this strictly for the portion that you hate the most, and that's tanking.

How do you tank LFR when this CC taunts instantly as soon as the other tank got aggro?
I couldnt do the taunt tactics and got all the boss stacks on me and died.

Turning off "Taunting" option didnt change anything. :/

 

Have to agree with r00flroofl on this one even with treat based targeting off it still taunts and still problems with the rend and thunderclap. And tbh i rly cant see any diffrence between the new cc and the old one i still have it and tried it to compare and its the same very minute diff in dps as fury prot seems the same not tried arms as never liked it.

Still waiting on the so-called amazing "highly individualizable rotations [donors only]" and other bits etc etc.

 

I really don't know what to say to you guys. In raids I turn things off that will screw everything up, but in dungeons I turn those things on. The only thing that stays off is the movement. I always use LazyRaider, unless I'm just catching up on quests in the Cata zones. Then I turn it on. It always works for me. I change all my CC options, plugin(s) option(s), bot options, and everything else that I need the change, then I start the bot for one second, then stop it, then completely close the bot. I go and check all my settings in the xml files that are created. Then, I open the bot again, triple check everything to make sure it's how I want it set, and start the bot up. Works perfectly fine. It's a lengthy, and irritating process to go through every single time I play the game, but it's something I've come to learn to live with. HB isn't perfect, nor are the CCs, so you have to baby them and do extra things to ensure it works as closely to perfect as you can get. I'm just a patient person that goes out of his way to ensure my botting experience is as enjoyable as possible. I apologize if you all can't get it to work, or just don't have the patience that I have, but honestly after reading page after page of tons of threads, and making mine work, then I get to see everyone go all moarragerawrrr at the devs when they can't get it to work, it just irks me. That's all. So, I'm sorry that it's not working for you, and I hope that you all can find a solution that will make your gaming life more enjoyable, because after all it IS just a game.

P.S. - For those that are trying to use WoW as a valid source of income (i.e. full-time, paying job) then you may want to look elsewhere for supplemental income. The economy sucks, WoW economies suck, and gold prices are about as predictable as the path of a fart in a hurricane. But, I do sympathize with you as I can see how this would affect, even more so, your income level.

Wownerds will PM you once they've had a chance to add your login information to their SVN. Their PM usually has the SVN address in it, or at least mine did. They may not have had time to add your, or may not have seen that you donated. Did you post your confirmation, or other proof of donation, in the thread?

Ok. It's possible they may have missed it in all the other posts. I know they're working on this CC, plus working with Dagradt and others on another CC all-in-one compilation type, and they're also busy with their real lives, so give them some time to check the thread again since you reposted. I'm sure they'll get you in there and get you set up. They're not the type to intentionally leave someone out in the lurch.

To start with im not raging @ the devs about this cc so dont even go there m8 im just stating the cc isnt working for for myself and others who have the same problems. Mabey im thick and not got a clue but when you uncheck something and restart the cc and its still unchecked and its still doing it then something is wrong somewhere and also the oppersit if its checked and not doing it. Also i commented on the advanced GUI that is listed in the Op theres still no sign of it not even an update for awhile on how its comeing along,

Thb i dont mind donating to devs as they do amazing work but they should atleast keep people informed of the progress. Mabey you can get it to work perfectly for yourself but im nrly 50yrs old i left school when i was 12 so yer im a bit thick when it comes to xml ccs etc etc and would love something i can easily understand ie something i can see clearlerly and tick n untick things i need etc. But as i said at the begining im not raging @ the dev about this cc when its done its done but an update from the dev would be nice
