Hyacinth Macaw Pet Farm by Synik.​

Made for use with HB2 and patch 4.0.3a​

This profile is working correctly, tested with Warrior, Mage, Paladin and Deathknight. Settings were either Grindbot or Mixed with mounting and such enabled.​

What does it do?
This profile will farm the Hyacinth Macaw pet in a neutral area in Stranglethorn Vale.

What requirements are needed?
The profile is set to a minimum level requirement of 35, though I do suggest it only be used at level40 and above in order to optimise the use of the profile.

Does it use vendors and mail boxes?
Yes, there is a single neutral vendor and a single neutral mail box in the profile.
As default the profile will vendor all white, grey and green items.
It will retain and eventually mail all blue and purple items.
A protect list and force mail list is added for the bag, the pet, the pirate hat and other things like epics and blues to prevent them being collected and then subsequently sold at the vendor.

Where exactly does it farm?
These profiles farm ALL mobs within the designated hotspots, the reason for this is because the pet now drops off of many different zone mobs. In the zip file there is two versions, one for total pirate farming inclusive of boats and another which farms the same areas minus the boats.

You may want to add the special green hat to the protecteditems list. Forget what it's called, but it's worth a lot of gold.

For some reason my hb2 w/ this mesh doesnt like to kill the warlocks imps, just kinda stands there and wont target, if i manual target it just clears focus and chills some more

I will add a blackspot to it shortly so it doesn't get stuck on the tree.

 

because that pet is the rarest pet in the game and if you get it you can sell it for 10k 12k or more i saw it once for 20k on ah a firefly you could get in hours and sell it for 3k 2k or so but the pet in stv is the most gold selling pet

 

just got 2k on my realm, nobody wanted to buy it, i was happy to get 2k in the end :-/

 

so I've been farming here for about two weeks, I've got 1 macaw, and 6 first mate hats, I thought they both had the same drop rate, or am i just getting very unlucky?

Good to see many of your are enjoying the profile, within the remainder of this week I will do a re-release with an extension to the grind area which means you will have an increase in mobs to kill which overall should improve your chances.

Can anyone run through how I'd edit this to use the vendor on the beach? I'm currently hated with the goblins, part of my reason for running this. Also, if there's any way of stopping me from murdering the guards at the entrance to BB on the way past? So far, great work though, works like a charm.

I've figured out to set his name and ID, but no idea how to get his XYZ co-ords to set it up.

 

With the NPC targeted (and HB running) click 'Target Info' (under the tab Profiles & Meshes)...that will give you the NPC's name and coordinates. You can copy and paste that into your profile.

 

Been using this profile for a couple of days; to say the least, it's pretty much flawless. Huge credit to Synik, gonna stick it out 'till i get my parrot. Thanks a lot Synik. Good luck all other parrot hunters
